Tapas and Sangria! This was one of our best referrals in Madrid. We had a large group of ten and were welcomed with open arms. The owner greeted us and sat us in a quaint loft upstairs overlooking the small restaurant. We immediately ordered what...More

Our Hotel told us about El Mollette which was around the corner from our hotel. Quite a limited number of Tapas but each one more than enough and cooked to perfection. The wine was very reasonable and we drank too much Rioja as usual.

Didn't meet our expentations. Expensive, small portion, small menu and half of the menu was sold out. Although the atmosphere was cosy and the service was charming.

Ordered the artichokes with foie, some artichokes were not warm, others were hot. Had octopus, that was not bad, but small. Iberian pork was good, but fries at bottom were not hot, sitting in pool of oil. Definitely not the best meal in Madrid.

I friend recommended this restaurant and he was so right. Charming, family run establishment with delicious food and good location near the opera and royal palace. If you weren't looking for the address, it would be easy to overlook. We shared the shrimp and mushroom...More

What makes this place good is the food and the intimacy of the setting - what makes it great is that you can come back after five years' absence and get a handshake and a kiss on both cheeks. Fresh roasted artichokes with a foie...More

The special of the day - artichoke with fois gras sauce. Heaven. Rest was good. Nice atmosphere. Very small - just 6 tables. English was not a problem. Very nice.

This was hands-down the most amazing meal we had while visiting Madrid. We started with grilled asparagus, followed prawn risotto, then tuna tartare, and finally, fish cheek. We even had room for a little dessert and tried the cheesecake with vanilla cream sauce. Everything was...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
