My husband and I were walking around Plaza Mayor and he did a search on his cell phone for a restaurant near us. Grazie Mille popped up - it received very good reviews and we were lucky enough to find an open table. The place was packed! The staff are all from Italy -- not only were they very friendly,... My teen daughter was so hungry and we popped in here. Friendly staff. Pizza was fine and service quick. No issues. As on the mina drag prices were much higher.

We had dinner at Grazie Millie last weekend. The staff were pleasant and service was efficient. There is a good selection of pizzas, pastas and salad dishes. My husband had the chicken, chirozo and ham pizza while I opted for the lasange. Both dishes were good but would have benefited from some extra spices or seasoning. The white wine was... More

This was a fantastic Italian restaurant in Madrid. It is authentic Italian (and we have been to Italy many times) We went here twice while we were in Madrid. I wish we could have gone more! We had the Bolognese Gnocchi, The truffle mushroom pasta, tiramisu, Lasagna and Amazing steak! The staff is very friendly. The wine was amazing. Prices... More

Having been traveling for over 2 weeks, we were looking for an Italian meal. Our hotel recommended Grazie. Had a great meal- fresh salad, pasta, and a pizza. Jessica, our waitress was attentive. Simple decor- small restaurant. Place was filled with locals- a good sign.

Great Italian even though we are in Spain. The starters were great and then the pasta was delicious. Great Montepulciano wine and espressos and lemoncello to finish. We had some of their menu recommendations and they are delish. Go there.

I had a lovely pasta with creamy pistachio sauce (I think it was the best pasta I ever had), while my wife enjoyed also good mezzelune type of pasta dish. Service was nice, but most of the chairs were not the best fit for our 2 year old toddler - even I nearly fell from my chair. I would most... More

I used to come here often until about one year ago. I went with my daughter, and after the salad, I went straight to the bathroom. Needless to say, the intestinal issue lasted a whole month. I lost 10 lbs, and finally went to the emergency room where they gave me some medicine. Such a shame, because the pizzas are... More

Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of Madrid. Staff friendly and helpful and food delicious. Costwise-average city centre prices, but def worth it for the quality!!

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
