Went there twice. Food is delicious. Must try the huevos estrellados, and the steak. Make a reservation ahead, if not the waiting can be up to two hours. I also recommend casual dressing for this restaurant, no flip flops, hats, etc. Definitely I will come...More

Casa Lucio, located several blocks southwest from plaza Mayor, is a fantastic, and not too formal, place for Spanish foods. The restaurant is always crowded, so I strongly recommend to make reservation. The reservation will be made by sending an e-mail.

A formal looking restaurant – the waiters serve in white coat and ties – but warm and friendly with very good food. My wife had the chateaubriand which was perfectly seasoned, but unfortunately was much rarer than the “medium” that she asked for. When they...More

Constant Companion and I were winding down our 24 day Spanish sojourn. My best friend, a native Madrileno, loves Huevos Rotos as do I! He was able to secure us a reservation at Casa Lucio, which is not easy. Everything about Casa Lucio is Old...More

This restaurant is a Madrid institution - visited by royalty and Bill Clinton. Old school kitchen with good service - always full!!

This is an old school type of place. Expect the ambiance that goes along with it, the etiquette and the food (dishes are not cheap though I would say they are high mid range). We really liked our experience here. Firstly you need to book...More

The food at Casa Lucio is delicious, and the fact that the owner is always in house supervising and welcoming guests is wonderful. However, having eaten here a few times, I'm comfortable writing that the service here is painful. To me, good service means not...More

We dined here and very much enjoyed ourselves but not somewhere to go for a quiet evening - very popular with both tourists and many Madrilenos. service was good and we thought the prices were reasonable.

First time visit Madrid, we were highly recommended to try the famous "huevos estrellados". We thought it was the main dish but it was a starter. But do not be fooled by that... the dish was more than enough for a main dish. We both...More

Yes, go to Casa Lucio but not only because of the food. We met Lucio and he is an excellent host. Talkative, funny and if you are lucky he will tell you some anecdotes like he did with us. I can't share them to keep...More

La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique
personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly
old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among
charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like
yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is
characterized by a young population and a bohemian
vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection
of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other

The portion is very generous indeed. You have a big bread awaiting you on the table and the dishes are served with fries (thin ones - so delicious we ordered another portion!) Enjoy it! You will not regret for sure!
