Thought this would be ideal for dinner as the outside looked impressive. The staff were helpful. We ordered our starters and the main courses. Much to our surprise the food came altogether.. it was reasonably ok. There was some misunderstanding as we ordered two main courses the same but only received one. We were charged only for one. The fish... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local bar owner and we were not disappointed. We only went in to check the place out, we ordered a bottle of wine and were given delicious tapas. Wonderful staff.

Having eaten here many times downstairs, I decided to venture upstairs having read the comments here in trip advisor. Yes there is a difference, downstairs is more cafeteria style with a very basic but affordable menu. Upstairs is an elegant restaurant with a more interesting menu and a superior service. I started with a prawn and avocado salad which was... More

Go here for the excellent fish and seafruits. I had some nice marinated clams as entree. Then I had a perfectly cooked piece of hake for a very reasonable price! Really magnificent. They really now their seafood. For the dessert I would suggest another place. I had the millefeuille with raspberry, cream and custard, but the pastry was like cardboard.... More

We recently stopped in for dinner after catching a live performance in the Gran Via area. It was late but the service was fast and the food was good. We ordered the Lubina and requested it to be prepared a certain way and they made it with without a hitch. The menu offers much seafood.

I didn't find this place, but the place found me on Instagram :) We went there because we were wandering in Gran Via around lunch time and we were not disappointed. The grilled cuttlefish didn't look exactly nice but the taste was delicious, and the razor clams were very good as well! The dessert was also very tasty! A bit... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
