Lovely looking, reasonably priced, great location near the Prado— you want this to be good, but it isn’t. We asked 4x before we got a glass of wine, and it arrived after the salad. We watched our waiter put on his coat and walk out...More

The WORST. Do not be fooled by the nice decor. Inedible food, terrible service. Nice location, decor and cheap prices for the neighborhood sucked us in. I wish we read reviews before we went. I will be glad to NOT get food poisoning, there were...More

Good quality food at a reasonable price. We arrived early without a booking and was easily able to secure a table. Service was OK. The wild mushroom risotto with truffle was fabulous and my partner enjoyed the Iberian pork fillet.

THE smartest place for breakfast, and half the price of our hotel! Excellent English style b'fast, with a good choice of other dishes to savour. Why pay same price for basic service when you get tablecloth and napkins in a comfortable booth? From memory, about...More

We have eaten at Ginger many times, but I will no longer recommend it following our experience on November 15th. We waited to be seated, the waitress pointed us to an area but when we sat, told us "not there, there". Took ages just to...More

Visiting from Washington DC. Ginger is the “neighborhood” restaurant that Washington needs more of. Very good menu and food, fun waitstaff, great prices.

I would thoroughly recommend this resto, as a contrast to eating tapas etc. wide menu , food beautifully presented and bill only 90 euros for 3 including bottle of wine and 3 cavas aperos at 3 euros each. We were second there at 7.30 but...More

This was one of the first restaurants we chose as we wandered the streets in Madrid. I chose it because of the table cloths - it looked clean and close to Canadian standards. It was a good choice. The food was good, moderately priced. The...More

Ate here for dinner. Had the crispy Bacalao croquettes with bread and tomatoe. This is rehydrated salted cod and it makes a nice appetizer. The Rollito is a vegie spring roll, fried and served with a sweet dipping sauce. It was tasty. The gazpacho was...More

from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to
them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas
receives a fair amount of spillover from the center —

Cocina mediterranea.
