The food was nice but the portion sizes were enormous! Really had we known there would be so much food coming our way we would've halved our order. But one shouldn't complain too much at being served a hearty meal and this place exceeded expectations.

They have some tasty innovative veg items on menu. The portions they serve are big. Soups, starters were very delicious. We would certainly go back again.

We had eaten too much iberico ham and were pining for vegetables so went here for lunch. There is a daily set menu which is beautifully presented and includes appetiser, soup, main, dessert, bread, a drink and a mint tea all for €13. Portions are large. Only criticism is that some type of soya protein or similar meat substitute is... More

There wasn't much I can eat here (multiple allergies) but what I had was tasty and good. They start you off with a little treat (seems to be different each time) and the staff was very accommodating. My wife (no allergies) also enjoyed here meals here.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. As the whole restaurant is vegetarian, it was lovely not having to pick from limited veggie-friendly options but to have lots of choice. The complementary nibble at the beginning was delicious and both of our mains were filling and tasty!

The restaurant is bright - very bright, and for an evening meal, I would have preferred dimmer lighting. The portions were huge, and my starter was in fact as good as a main course. The food was good, although not exceptional. The restaurant is very conveniently situated near to Plaza Mayor.

Brightly lit, buzzy atmosphere, good food but not exceptional. Limited English spoken. Sound vegetarian choice, but not as good as we'd hoped.

The eggplant dish had so much melted vegan cheese on it, it was almost inedible. Would not come here again.

Had a nice vegan dinner here. The vegan paella is recommended as are the smoothies. The menu is in both Spanish and English, with all the vegan options clearly marked, and there's a large selection to choose from.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
