Had dinner in Las Mañanitas yesterday, nicely decorated, attentive service, but truely we were disappointed by the foid and drinks, the guac was tasteless, the tacos al pastor was some regular meet with the wrong seasoning, could not prepare a regular margarita ( only frozen ). Sorry yo say, we were disappointed.

After a month in Europe I was craving Mexican .. Google wasn't helpful but after an hour or so we bumped into this place , checked trip advisor and we did it.. Best Mexican I've had in a long time .. Highly recommended and I'd come back for sure .👍👍👍

The food and service was excellent and its in the cute Malasana Area. The server recommended the mole and I promise - it was outstanding. DO IT.

It is amazing that one of the best Mexican restaurants that I have ever tried is a continent away from Mexico! I have eaten at countless Mexican restaurants in the US and Central America but las mañanitas is without a doubt one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever tried.

I've eaten here 3-4 times now and the food has been consistently good. The dishes are very similar to the style of Mexican food served in the U.S. and the place is very clean. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but I would definitely recommend it.

A cozy, quite cozy as in small, mexican restaurant in Madrid. If you're looking for haute cuisine then don't come here. But if u want OK tacos, daiquiris, margeritas, nice marachi band and good ambience then its for u .... The menu that is all u can eat and drink (alcohol) is probably the best value ...

Really good mexican food for a fair price. The ambience is good, and the service fast and pleasant. I loved the enchiladas.

Real mexican food with real mexican service and manager. Big portions and nice taste. Good and quick service. Very centric and close to all the bars in Malasaña, one of the busiest places for a spanish party in the capital (recommended). Metro Tribunal 1 minute walking.

We had an excellent experience here. We had the salmon ceviche, enchiladas, and the tacos villamellon. The ceviche and the tacos villamellon were the best. Try them and you won't be disappointed. The service is much better than most tapas/restaurants in Madrid.

We came here with a 50% Restalo.es discount on food only (provided you choose a minimum of two courses). As a starter we shared an original guacamole dip served in a large stone mortar; then had a main course each of 'tortillas la Neta' and mango chicken; and finally shared a generous home-made dessert. Together with 2 nice margaritas and... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
