In the 6th floor of Corte Ingles is the Gourmet Department, where you can also have a delicious snackafter or during shopping. From caviar and Oysters to jamón ibérico and cheeses and great wines and cavas by the glass. The view over the roofs of Madrid's chic Salamanca neighbourhood is an additional plus.

This 9th floor food court and small market/bakery was very close to my hotel so I came here 3 times. People stop by for drinks and a nice view of the city; it can get very loud. There are not 20 restaurant options but everything that I tried from the maybe 8 stalls was good. Dumplings, pizza, ice cream, salads...... More

The main advantage- it's open while most other restaurants are closed -between launch and dinner. So you can dine even without shopping... Food is o.k - don't expect to get something beyond that - but portions are quiet big , prices are in the low-mid range and service is efficient.

Several small stalls provide excellent food, including creative tapas, and wine. You can eat out on the 9 th floor terrace if the weather is good.

We were at the 6th level gastro gourmet place. The food (tapas) was delicious and the wine selection and value excellent. All this comes with a view over parts of the city.

We went into the shopping mall and went to have lunch, you have 2 options cafeteria or restaurant. We went to the restaurant on a whim and it was amazing, great food and fast service. Thanks for the great experience.

We really enjoyed dining at Street XO. The vibe was very hip, the food was innovative and delicious. My husband and I tried the Korean Lasagna, the octopus, and the prawn laksa. All the dishes were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The cocktails were also unique and packed quite a punch. Some things to note: There tends to be a line... More

Teh food is OK at The Cafeteria, but the service is really bad. It took more than one hour to get our food. The waiters are more interested in talking to each other than to serve. Disappointed!!

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
