If you come to Melilla, La Traviata is a restaurant that you must visit. From the start, the staff stands out for their super friendly and close attention, which makes you feel at home. The menu is extensive and varied, but best of all are the meats, which are simply delicious, to suck your fingers. In addition, the detail of the chocolates and shots at the end of the meal is a gesture that is always appreciated and that gives a special touch to the experience. The quality of the food is impressive, with fresh and well-crafted products. The fish, in particular, was very fresh, and the apple pie was the best end to a perfect meal. You can see that in La Traviata they take care of each client as if they were family, which makes the experience even more special. We return to Barcelona with a great taste in our mouth and with the certainty that every time you visit Melilla, La Traviata will be a must stop. I will repeat without hesitation! Without a doubt, it is the best restaurant we have eaten in Melilla.

Friendly staff, nice relaxing music & varied menus. Food quite pricey but free bits during your meal too, olives, onion soup (delicious), cheese pieces after main course. We had lamb chops, recommended and the chocolate fondant best I’ve ever had.

We can't put a punch on it. We went to dinner with some friends who live in Melilla and from the atmosphere, the decor , to the food (through the excellent service ) we left delighted. Fish carp (I think it was sea bass) is the best I've ever eaten. Everything else met our expectations, when we return to Melilla it will be a must for us.

In general it is a correct place, with good service and the food is good, although it is not cheap. In our case it failed because we ordered a fish by weight and they brought it out very done, for our taste it was not worth paying so much. A shame, it left a bad taste in our mouths.

we selected this restaurant based on its score in 2022 and enjoyed our choice. the food was excellent like the red wine. tuna tartare could be prepared less salty. we arrived at 8pm. at 9.30pm the restaurant was full and loudly, less romantic for 2 (consider arriving at early hours).

Visited my favourite restaurant in Melilla again and was not disappointed. Such lovely staff. The food is excellent- too ! This time I had clams in garlic and white wine to start and whilst I was initially disappointed that they did not have the shoulder of lamb, the lamb chops which they brought to me where wonderful- so full of flavour.

My favourite restaurant in Melilla. Very classy. Very elegant. Very yesteryear. It combines quality tapas at bar with excellent main courses for a full dining experience. Wonderful staff. Premises look nothing special from outside but venture inside and it is FAB! The old style French music playing - jazz style- set the scene and the mood. I could have spotted Edith Piaf in the corner ? Maybe ?! Menu is very safe and traditional but it is all done extremely well. Staff are engaging which is great. - happy to show you dishes going to other tables. Happy ro make recommendations. The fish / seafood cooler was a little disappointing this trip as not the level of choice I have seen before - but part of that huge rape was turned into a small wonderful dish. The marinated pulpo was the best I have ever had.

Called in twice during a recent break in Melilla. Centrally located restaurant which i believe to deliver the best food in Melilla. Quality that can challenge anywhere. Great selection of fresh fish and seafood. Rabo de toro is excellent as is the acorn fed pork ! Wonderful selection of wines competitively priced. Attentive service but not in ur face ! Wonderful and memorable dining experiences. I will return !

What a find ?! It looks so average from outside but that is so deceptive. Yes you can just have tapas and a drink but they also have an amazing menu of top quality food, inuding a great selection of fresh fish and seafood. I had a lamb shoulder which was cooked to perfection. Only criticism is lack of vegetables but that is sooooo Spanish ! Staff were delightful. Best dining experience in Melilla. Prices top end but that only matches dining experience. Amazing wine list!

This is the best restaurant that we visited in Melilla. The food was very tasty and the service was really good, as the waiters were friendly and efficient. I ordered a goat cheese salad, which had a little bit too much dressing but that is my only criticism, as otherwise the salad was very good. My companion had tuna, which I tasted and both us thought it was rather good. For our desserts, we had different boozy sorbets, which were really nice. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated and centrally located. This is not a cheap place but worth the money. I would recommend La Traviata.

We came in and it looked like a tapas bar, and they are. Only their tapas are served in an gastronomic explosion of flavours combining traditional dishes with foreign techniques

Do not be mistaken by its name this is a Spanish restaurant, not an Italian place, it happens just to be across the Opera house in Melilla. We had a wonderful lunch, the artichokes appetizer was superb and the " fried chanquetes" ( these are tiny white fried fishes) delicious, the vinagrette anchovies even better; what we enjoy the most was the personal attention by one of the owners Jamal, that made our lunch a lot of fun with his jokes. In all a great experience.

What a treat this place is. Visited for dinner...the waiter was engaging and determined to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Whilst the surroundings may not be the most sumptuous ... what it lacked in decor was made up for by the quality of the food. At every turn we were served delicious plates. The prawns were outstanding as was the turbot and steak ... Just great. Thanks for a lovely meal and wonderful service.
