Decided on El Rus as didn't want a massive evening meal, however after ordering 2 starters (patatas with alioli and the enslada rusa), plus two sandwiches, I can safely say that my partner and I ordered too much. The starters were great, but one between the two of us would have been plenty! The sandwiches were nice too, with fresh... More

This is the place to eat sandwiches. In the afternoon, you had your typical belly full spanish lunch. So later a night (spanish hours), go here and order one or two sandwiches (mostly one is enough).

Good burgers and great atmosphere. Excellent service! Notice that you can only pay cash and there are no cocktails.

Once Ruzafa in Valencia used to be one of the best hidden secrets - nowadays a trendy part of upcoming Valencia with a lot of bars, restaurants and shops. We were lucky because El Rus seems to be the place to be... No reservations but after 5 minutes we got a small table outside on the street. A lot of... More

Really popular bar in this now quite food trendy part of the city. Sometimes one can queue for an hour for a table I'm told. Quick service, english menu and some staff speak english. Great fillings- the hot aubergine in omelette with iberico ham, cheese and tomato is fantastic, ditto chicken and beetroot...... so much choice and on two visits... More

Great place to have dinner. Nice spot; terrace on the corner of the street. Don't expect any advanced main dishes, most of the menu consists of (good filled) baguettes and salads (and some starters and deserts). We really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the friendly staff, even though they were really busy. Reasonable prices!

To say Ruzafa, the fashion area in Valencia, is to say El Rus. Quick service with a really good chart of salads, bocadillos and desserts

I've been here a few times with friends when visiting for the MotoGP. The staff are a real mixed bag so it's actually quite amusing. You will get good reasonably priced food and drink and good service. My only criticism would be that the menu is very bread based but don't let that put you off. Well worth a visit... More

This was a lovely cheapish place right near our lodging and was open late. There's an English menu and I'd suggest the starters rather than sandwiches. The patatas bravas were delicious but the taste sensation was brie with honey and avocado . lots of Spanish people in a cool area. Great atmosphere on a Monday.

We found this place walking streets looking for dinner. Menu is sandwiches, salads, some appetizers but plenty of choices. We ordered the baked brie with jellied peppers - EXCELLENT!!!! For dinner - I had smoked cod, egg and tomato sandwich and son had jambon and grilled pork sandwich - both were tasty and filling. My wife had the buffalo mozzarella... More
