My wife and I decided to have a quick dinner and we selected this place. Overall, I think this restaurant should be rated average: average food, average service, average place (and not particularly clean...). I share the opinion of other travellers that this place is a bit overrated in TA.

This place has very good and tasty food in a tipically spanish atmosphere. Restaurant is crowded at all times bus still you won't be sharing tables or be too close to anyone else which is a plus. I would suggest the patatas bravas, pulpo a la gallega and Calamares. Will definitely go back on my next visit to Valencia.

We came here late in lunch service but were never made to feel rushed. Friendly staff made us feel welcome and helped us with our choices. Place very popular for locals. Calamari sandwich very yummy. Will definitely come back next time we are in Valencia´s center.

Based on our experience two weeks ago (January 2017) I think the TA consensus rating is a bit high. We dined at Los Toneles mid-afternoon after arriving in Valencia by train from Barcelona. The alleyway where Los Toneles is located is a pedestrian street directly across from Valencia's Beautiful North Station. We did have to wait for a table outside... More

Great place, indeed. The serving size for individual orders (ración) is generous by touristic standards: we are close to traditional Spanish cuisine here. And most of the customers are local people. A good sign. On the negative: you may need to be patient to get a table at peak hours.

If you want to feel at home this is the place. Good food , service and price . I had paella valenciana and salmon fish for just 10 euros + adrink +cake and a coffe. The other meal was tuna fish and tripa.

I went past this café in the morning and every table was taken. Most people there were eating calamari on a bread roll. I went back at 2pm and there was a long line to get a table so I went to the bar and ordered a calamari bread roll. The calamari was tender and full of flavour and the... More

As a non Spanish speaking American visiting Valencia I used TA to find restaurants that said Americans could get by there.. The waiter was very gracious and explained everything to us in something that it seems to English. The food was delicious and the small place was a wonderful find:) The menu has several options of tapas to choose from.... More

Friendly staff, tasty food and great coffee in the morning. We felt like homing pidgeons going back here when we needed a pick me up. beware the Agua de Valencia. Sure it looks harmless - what with the orange juice and all. Vodka, gin, and sparkling wine added to that and you have quite the buzz going! People seemed to... More

This is a simple bar, very popular for locals, close to the train station. The location is convenient, and the place seems to be one more of other establishments in the center. Our meal (including wine and tip) was cheap but not exceptional (good but nothing to write home). Slow service.
