Stayed at the Hotel Opposite the Taberna visited every evening during my stay whilst waiting for my partner to get ready for the evening , although I did not eat at the Taberna it was a great pace to have a drink in the evening sitting outside in the lovely little square watching the world go by staff very friendly... A good and relatively inexpensive restsurant in a quìet square off the main tourist area. Food and service is good. Nothing pretensious. Went three times so would have been ok !!!

We ate with friends from our tour. The salad and paella were excellent, We chose the traditional version with chicken (not rabbit which used to be used). The chicken was a little dry, though. Lovely courtyard setting.

There are so many places to eat in Valencia, but we liked this place because it was located just behind our hotel on a quiet little square, and the food was quite good. On our last visit they made a terrific Valencian paella. The service was a bit odd on the last visit as Barcelona was playing Manchester City and... More

Cozy square, quite tasty but rather ordinary tapas for a slightly higher than average (Valencia) price. Tables for 2 were way too close together, but because few people were there, it doesn't bothered us. (it was thursday around 20.00h) At 9, there was still not a lot of people, because the waiter twice chased away a couple obliging them to... More

I should have been more careful. We ordered some food and the best bottle of wine on the menu, and some water. They tried to pawn us off with the cheapest bottle of wine, though added the expensive one to the written order. They were very aggressive and not at all apologetic when we realised they tried to rip us... More

We needed to eat early due to a later commitment and many of our first choices were not open yet. The Taberna was right across from our hotel in a lovely little square. We ate inside as it was quite breezy when we got there. Later it would have been perfect to be outside. The Taberna was a good find.... More

Recommend the tapas menu! Smaller portions, more selection! Also the paella on the table next to us smelt divine! Ignore the request for tables of two to sit in certain seats... just go with it, the food makes up for it

Thank Claire S
