Marco was excellent in helping me to find gluten free vegetarian (sends gluten & vegetariano) options, and my carnivore husband had an outstanding meal. From the moment we walked on the terrace, with the most spectacular view, Marco was so friendly and welcoming. He gave us many local recommendations, kept us warm with the heater, walked us down to the Sassi restaurant and translated all the dishes and descriptions in English. Most importantly, he went above and beyond with ensuring every dish was gluten and dairy-free. He served us charcuterie without cheese, warm gluten free ciabatta, octopus without cream, dairy-free truffle shrimp with gluten-free pasta, sea bream with carrot ginger sauce and potato, and dairy and gluten free tiramisu. Everything was so delicious. I’ve never had such caring service catering to my health needs, that was as equally delicious.

I went with my partner for a birthday celebration during Autumn.
The rooftop experience was closed due to weather conditions, however the staff were friendly enough to inform us we were in the Garden Resturant in the basement. It was still a really good experience but I'd check the weather before booking if that's the only reason you're initially going.
The music selection for the resturant was incredibly welcoming with some jazzy covers getting us ready for some delicious food.
We were served by Vito who was welcoming from the get go, and selected an Amaro for us to begin our experience with. We chose the Land tasting that was costed at €70. Whenever Vito served us our dishes he made the effort to break down what we were eating - which we enjoyed.
We both really loved the pasta dish and found the over all tasting experience to be filling. I do think you could select some options al carte and get more of a range for the same price, but we enjoyed not having to choose.
As an English speaker it was extremely easy to converse with the staff and communicate what you needed.
Overall I'd recommend going for a special evening with your friends and or family if you want a relaxed but quality evening.

We had a splendid evening watching the sun set on the terrace of this lovely hotel and restaurant in the stunning town of Matera. At 21 euro the ‘aperitif’ menu offered very good value - amazing view, good service, lovely small platters and a glass of wine for me and a Moscow Mule for my husband. Highly recommend.

We had dinner in this restaurant to celebrate my birthday in an elegant and special setting. We booked the same day and they still found us a place and, at my request, they even gave us a beautiful table with incredible views of the stones of Matera. The place is well-kept and elegant, they welcomed us with care and thoughtfulness. We visited the Quarry for drinks twice on the terrace. The drinks and the snack menu were amazing with views unmatched in Matera. The staff were very attentive and friendly making sure you had the best time while you were there.
We also recommend having dinner. The night view is breath taking. Marco was an attentive waiter and Tito made sure everything was perfect from the wine to the dinner. We recommend the tasting menu an incredible value with superb taste. Can’t say enough about this place.
