We were looking for a place for our last evening in Matera and it was a pleasant discovery. We took two pucce (nardó and matera) both very good, with delicious meat and craft beers. What made us even happier was the quality-price ratio ❤️ the very kind owners and the intimate and furnished place with a bust ❤️ we will keep a beautiful memory of this dinner 💐

We stayed at Ohime's for lunch with a 2-year-old girl. We had a great time, both for the welcome, and for the food, we will definitely be back! It is a niche place, small but with character, offering variety of pucce, salads, appetizers and some first courses of the day at a competitive price! Great value for money!!

An absolute must visit in Matera. Ohime serves excellent upscale sandwiches. We had the signature slow cooked porchetta and octopus sandwich. Both were served on a perfectly toasted crunchy bun. The toppings were well balanced and delicious, true umami bombs. In addition to sandwiches Ohime serves daily specials such as pasta’s and other local dishes. The dishes are not expensive and you absolutely get a lot of bang for your buck. We got the opportunity to speak the chef and felt welcome from the start. It is evident that he has years of experience which he transfers into each and every sandwich.

I have no doubt that this place fully deserves the position it occupies in the ranking of restaurants in Matera. Great variety of beers and high quality food prepared with great care by a kind, attentive and helpful staff. Excellent quality/price ratio and beautiful industrial location with great attention to every furnishing accessory. This place never disappoints me! The pucce are really exquisite, prepared with typical local products and a raw material of the highest quality. Really nice, quiet and above all relaxing evening with lots of good things to eat. From land appetizers to seafood pucce to the famous and typical Lecce pasticciotto. What a great restaurant! It is a small restaurant with great food! We went there for lunch and dinner multiple times and everytime we went there it was good. The menu is really food from Puglia which is lovely and the owner is from Lecce, Puglia so he knows his stuff. Nice thing about it is that the owner, chef lived in Amsterdam so he speaks Dutch and English. His food is Italian but really different from all the other restaurants in Matera. The homemade pasta is great but the pucce also. We almost tried everything from the menu and we really loved to eat here! Every dish is good. So DON'T SKIPE this restaurant when you are in Matera! You will thank me later!

Freshness of Salento products in Matera

My group and I had lunch in this place discovered by chance, fantastic and well looked after. The very kind owner made us sit down and even though the place was full the service was very fast. The food was plentiful and delicious, fresh and quality raw materials. Definitely will come back again in Matera it will be one of my first stops❤️

Went on the basis of other reviews and the fact that it was near our hotel. The food was lovely and fresh. I don’t eat much bread but the chef made a lovely salad with the slow roasted pork. The octopus was very tender. Glasses of wine were very generous and the wine was lovely. They had various pasta dishes as specials, which also looked very good. It’s not very big inside, but we went early without a reservation and they accommodated us. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend either for lunch or dinner.
