Desperate to find an open restaurant so that our 17-month-old son could get something to eat, we spontaneously stumbled upon Quid. Actually, we just wanted to find out whether the kitchen is already open, unfortunately, we were too early here too. But when we wanted to go on, the chef, Mirko, approached us directly and offered to cook something extra for our little one. We gladly accepted the offer and were lovingly accompanied by Salvatore "Zio Toto" to the roof terrace. We were already taken by the atmosphere, so we were all the more surprised by the culinary delights we were offered later. Within minutes we got a risotto for our son, he devoured it! Salvatore was very eager to make our evening as nice as possible and he more than succeeded. He always made time for us and was loving with our son (even though he was already very tired). We chose the 5-course menu with wine accompaniment and gave Mirko free rein. For relatively little money, we dined like kings here and enjoyed every bite. The experience was worth every penny and the staff is 12/10 points! Keep up the good work, I hope you will have many more guests and wish you only the best for the future.

Emerging and standing out in the gastronomic panorama of the city of Matera, where already established and renowned culinary realities have existed for some time, is not easy: yet the new born Quid restaurant has succeeded!
Often, during dinner here with friends, I wondered how long it has been since I ate so well...
The young chef Mirko Quarto has put to good use his apprenticeship with the best masters, the experience acquired during the period spent abroad together with his imagination, the desire to get involved and his mastery in transforming local products into a gastronomic journey. sublime, capable of satisfying the five senses, leaving the diner completely satisfied!
Four of us savored the Metamorfosi tasting course, consisting of 5 courses (cost €65/person) with two bottles of wine, paying a more than fair price, considering the trend of recent times, with decidedly high quality and skill in Truly exceptional combinations and balances.
Strongly recommended!

Situated just on the outskirts of town and well worth a visit.
We enjoyed our lunch on the covered terrace. There is a choice of a la carte or fixed price from the same menu. The Aqua pazza( monkfish) and cod starter were beautifully presented and tasty.

Friendly welcome.
Lovely to chat with the owner . Open for about a year and I wish them every success.

I was there tonight with my girlfriend. I can say with all certainty that Quid is not a simple gourmet restaurant, but an experience, a journey of taste. Everything is excellent, culinary expressions, sweet/savory contrasts, the decorations of the dishes and the products of the Puglia/Basilicata area. Excellent service, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail, each object has its own function. Salvatore is undoubtedly the star of the room, but all the staff deserve compliments and applause. When a place works it means that each member of the staff exceeds their role. The environment is refined, small and intimate, there is no confusion and there is distance between one table and another. Also pleasantly surprised by the bill which is not exorbitant. I invite everyone to go there, above all, my fellow citizens who must absorb a simple concept in their minds: you pay for quality. Very often paying little means eating poor quality food.

From the refined and expertly presented dishes to the attention to detail in the service, everything suggests a commitment to gastronomic excellence. We celebrated my husband's birthday and everyone was super satisfied and amazed by the elegance, care and atmosphere of the place. Too bad the weather was still cold, otherwise we would have had lunch on a welcoming terrace on a beautiful panoramic point of Matera. Fortunately we were able to consume the aperitifs on the terrace and it was really pleasant to be seated directly in front of the kitchen counter

While in Matera restaurant prices go crazy due to tourists, luckily a young chef arrives from Gravina who offers innovative cuisine at reasonable prices. Beautiful rooms should be livened up with plants and paintings. Very good service. Top quality.

Enjoyed the tasting menu with a few friends. Food was absolutely delicious and presented with real flair. Our Maître d' was very accommodating, and even gave us a quick tour of the roof terrace after introducing us to the chefs. Stunning food at a surprisingly reasonable price. Would go back in a heartbeat, highly recommended.

A Michelin star dinner! We went to this restaurant for a special occasion and decided to opt for the Metamorfosi tasting menu which included 6 courses. What can I tell you? We were amazed! In all the dishes there is an attention to detail that leaves you speechless, the combinations are studied down to the smallest detail and the quality of each course is very high. Each dish expresses the love and passion that the chef has for his work and this can also be seen in the care with which he serves them. The restaurant is very welcoming. Giuseppe, the waiter is very knowledgeable, polite and kind. Absolutely justified price quality! We will gladly return

Very welcoming place, relaxing colors, top music. the waiter Giuseppe was super polite and immediately put us at ease with his kindness and helpfulness. He explained all the dishes clearly, very friendly and not at all intrusive. The dishes were excellent, from the appetizers to the desserts. I was stupid by the cold cialledda and the dessert called my land. All accompanied by excellent wines, for each dish a different wine that recalled aromas of autumn and spring. A real experience! I will absolutely go back!

Even though we are not vegetarians, we chose the vegetarian menu because in Matera the culture of vegetables reaches heights of absolute excellence. As in the Murgia starter, dedicated to black cabbage and Murge mushrooms. The pancotto is equally amazing. The fake beef is surprising, where beetroot takes the place of meat. And if the kitchen is fabulous, the dining room is equally so. And it has its plus in Salvatore, who knows everything about the local gastronomy. And he knows everything about people. We celebrated my daughter's graduation... perfect evening.... We were able to have an exclusive room with excellent staff and a gastronomic selection - curated by chef Quarto - which gave us a unique and heavenly taste experience... Starting with the very original appetizers and then continuing with the red mullet with black lentils, pan cotto with vegetables served in a steaming ceramic egg, risotto with oysters and raspberries, croaker with citrus fruits and finally a flower and fruit salad with sorbet. Absolutely worth trying!!!

Great food with perfect service. We were welcomed and treated the rest of the evening.
We chose the 6 course menu where the chef could decide our dishes. We also had the matching wine pairing. Beforehand we got a few more amuses. The food was delicious. The risotto with oysters is one of the best risottos I have had. The wines were all from Italy and were very original in taste. They perfectly matched the corresponding corridors.
I can highly recommend this place for a nice night out in Matera.:)

Excellent restaurant, never tried something like this before, having always preferred restaurants that catered for all tastes. This time, having to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary, I preferred to choose a restaurant that had something extra. The chef gave me the opportunity to use a larger location with an extraordinary result where elegance and top-level cuisine, despite being a banquet for 60 people, meant that it was a party truly appreciated by everyone. Having stumbled upon this new restaurant in Matera a bit by chance, at the end of a Sunday in August, we enjoyed a truly excellent experience.
The environment is extremely refined without being pretentious, elegant, with a splendid terrace overlooking the stones. The maitre d' welcomes us with a valuable mix of friendliness and competence. Chef Mirko Quarto surprises us with original, well-balanced dishes, often the result of a beautiful reinterpretation of classics of popular and local cuisine, such as the Sfumatura di Cialledda or the Pancotto according to Mirko. Finally, the desserts which are truly spectacular - we tried the Tiramicrusco (reinterpretation of tiramisu with coffee granita, Sassanello biscuit and crusco pepper) and La mia terra which grafts the freshness of the sprouts onto a base of sweet flavours. If you are in Matera and want to live unique experiences, which become precious memories, the Quid restaurant is an obligatory stop where we personally will be happy to return as soon as possible. Super recommended.
