We did enjoy the quality of food and simplicity of the environment. We had different plates, pasta frilled fish plate and stewed bacalado with pizza cover... Each was a great discovery

The service is light hearted and relaxing, but really meant to steer you towards a few dishes that the restaurant finds easy to make and easy to profit from. There for dinner, we noticed almost all tables ordering the same few dishes. Mama Rosa walks around, doesn't really cook anything, because much of the food is pre-cooked. Your seafood appetizer... This place is so perfect. Best house wine by far we had during our trip to this region. I'd drink this every night at home. Nice idea to just go with Mamma Rosa's suggestions. Come hungry! I would have dined here all week if we were in town that long just to try everything on the menu. We really liked... More

We found this thru tripadvisor recommendation and it was no let down. After a ten min wait for a table to free up we were attended to timely and friendly. My girlfriend had a seafood salad which she enjoyed and I had the baccalau pasta which with a bit of added salt and pepper tasted great. Despite the business the... More

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had to wait 10 mins for a table as the restaurant was really busy. The host was friendly and helped us with our food order. The soup which came with the antipasti di mare was fresh, simply prepared and delicious. Would have ordered more food from the menu if my stomach still... More

We stopped for lunch in Salerno and not many restaurants were open. Went on trip advisor and found Mamma Rosa. Not very fancy but the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mamma Rosa came out and spoke with us.

We ate at Mamma Rosa for the past 3 years every time we visited Salerno during our holiday and it Never disappointed. Mamma Rosa is the chef and her food is something you call "traditional homemade", fresh, simple, tasty and lovely presented. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Keep going!!! I would recommend it to anyone :)!!!!

Service was okay, slightly arrogant and food okay. House wine very average... After a few days in Napoli and Capri, this restaurant was slightly disappointing, particularly after seeing other reviews. Pasta wasn't very tasty/flavourful, okay experience overall!

Thank ELextrait
