We stumbled upon the candlelight alley where part of Il Buco has tables and I was captivated by the setting. Our table sat in a corner by the ancient archway to the city and we dined beneath a faded fresco which made the atmosphere of the restaurant seem dreamlike. The food at Il Buco is truly delicious. It is expensive... More

This michellin-star restaurant was a fun adventure in fine dining for us! We chose the "trust us" plan and got to taste so many amazing dishes-- I focused on seafood and my husband on meat. The chef brought us out a welcome "taster", 5 full courses, and a few bonus treats in between the courses-- each plate was a show... More

My first meal of a 2 week stay in Italy was here and I thought at the time it might be the best I would have-- I was correct! Excellent service and food and the pricing was very reasonable for a Micheline starred restaurant.

The food was good, but not great. Our server was good, but again not great. Thr prices were way to high for what you get. Your much better off going to one of the many lesser known restaurants off the side streets. Don't bother going just because you saw them on a t.v. Show.

We had wonderful service from all the staff at Il Buco - even inviting us to check out the kitchen at the end of our meal! We had somewhat bravely opted for the "I trust you" menu with 5 courses for €75 + €40 for paired vino to each course. We got our money's worth and then some - the... More

We got the chef's menu with wine tasting and the experience was just great. We sat outside which was in a quiet alley. The service was great, professional, and friendly. This was one of the most enjoyable food experiences we had in our trip. Highly recommended. Just trust the chef :)

We were only in Sorrento for 3 nights, staying at the Bellevue Syrene and toyed with going to Dafonso or Relais Blu for dinner, but we had already seen many beautiful views so opted for a place we could walk. We went here our first night and repeated our last night. Ate outside which is great the first time and... More

Overall we had a really nice time here, there were just one or two off notes, that at this price point you don't expect. We had the chefs 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairings. The linguine was delicious, and our favourite dish of the evening, and the selection of breads was outstanding. Unless you are reasonably knowledgeable about... More

Top class with excellent Food and wine plus friendly impeccabe knowledgeable Staffs, Cosy comfortable dining room surrounding atmosphere. If you think 95Euro per person for the tasting menu is much for your budget. Then try to save few of your meals somewhere else and dine here for one time experience. The owner, Chef Peppe Aversa, not only he could bring... More
