Myself and my wife lives abroad and come back to Napoli every year for Christmas. We were looking for some traditional eating in the Vomero area, and decided to eat in this place where we were used to go when we were engaged. We tried gnocchi alla sorrentina and pasta with genovese sauce, a sauce made with meat stewed with... More

good home made pasta, i would suggest homemade pasta with pesto prawns and mandorle. the pizza is obviously good and the service was great but: N.B. do not order the belgium beer. 0,75cl =12 euro too expensive!

Picking the best pizzeria in Naples is a tough task, and even the most demanding pizza fans would have a problem in counting less than 20 pizzerias around town that may rank atop their favourite pizzeria list. And this pizzeria would NOT be included in this list. But the reason why itmight deserve a visit if ypou hang around the... More

I was exploring the city and was looking for something local, but not street food. I went up with the funiculare centrale a one street ahead there I saw this restaurant. Inside there were local grandparent age gentlemen at one table, ona men with his ganddaughter at an other, young group of people at an other, it seemed something very... More

We squeezed into this bustling restaurant in Vomero after a visit to the Certosa di San Martino (highly recommended) and ordered pizza and gnocchi. The pizza was very good, with just the right balance of crispness and softness, with a good dollop of tomato and the other ingredients. The gnocchi, however, were no more than so-so, a bit chewy and... More

I wanted to try Pizzeria Acunzo because I heard about their pizzas topped with pasta (unusual!). We went for lunch and got a table outside (it gets busy, so arrive by 1330 on a weekend). We never got the bottle of water we ordered, but the mozzarella antipasto was nice. They have 3 pizzas with pasta on them; we split... More

Historic pizza place where you are guaranteed an excellent neapolitan-style pizza. Recommended for sure

Visited this pizzeria after getting off the furnicular in Vomero. Took a chance and we're happy we did. Pizza crust was chewy and beautifully made. First time I have ever seen little "handles" of crust all around the pizza.....seemed like it was decorative but made it more special. Big wood fired oven as well. Place is small and the tables... Mid-evening pizza and a big salad were wonderful. (BTW Bad pizza is hard to come by in Naples!) Place is typical, not touristy. Low key, bright and fun. When we were there there was a family of four eating pizza, a large table of women that looked like they worked together and a young couple stealing kisses between bits of... More
