We really enjoyed our experience at La Carbonara. The atmosphere was lively, the service, food, and location was really good and we had the most amazing cured ham appetizer.

On my recent holiday, we were recommended to try this restaurant. It does get quite busy so make sure to call ahead or book a day in advance. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with people writing messages all over the walls some as old...More

Was highly disappointed by this restaurant. The food was over priced and for the amount of food you get I wouldn't pay even half of the price. Ordered steak and lamb - had no flavour. The lamb was mostly bone and fat. The steak had...More

We came for lunch today. Ordered the rigatoni carbonara but what showed up was the spaghetti carbonara with scrambled eggs. They assumed we were stupid tourists and tried to attempt to get away with this crime! I told them to their face "thanks for the...More

(29.07.17) while we managed to be seated after a half hour wait, we'd definitely recommend booking-people were being turned away after us. Heads up, you can't book for the same day after 4pm. Friendly staff speak English if you need it, but try a little...More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

We went for lunch without booking. Were told 1hr waiting which we did to get away from the heat. Had some wine at the bar and chatted away with on the the brothers. I think we ended up waiting 20/30min. I am glad we did!
