My husband and I just got back from the Matermatuta tonight. Happy and fantastically full. My husband had the Tris di tartare di mare and I had the octopus. The next course was the gnocchi and ravioli, followed by the duck. All incredibly good. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was great and the ambiance was romantic and refined.

We were in luck with this place… right next door to our hotel! Restaurant looks small from the outside but beautiful and intimate with a great atmosphere inside. Great staff and informative about the menu made you feel relaxed. We were lucky they could squeeze us in, we did try and book for another night during our stay but they... More

We had an amazing meal here this week! I had the lobster linguine and my other half had the steak! It was our best meal in Rome by far and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff are very attentive and make you feel very welcome! Couldn't fault this place!

Visited with our kids on a Saturday evening. The fish (particularly the plateau de mer, the fish tartars and thx starters) is truly good, with dishes often with an innovative twist. The gnocchi and other pastas are also quite good. Definitively recommend.

This restaurant was next door to where we stayed. We booked in advanced, and this would be recommended as the place was full all evening. Staff were excellent - friendly and attentive. We had fried octopus and sesame coated prawns to start. Both were excellent. Hadn't had octopus before so this was a great choice of starter. For mains we... More

We had a lovely meal here while staying close by. It was a very intimate feeling restaurant with a menu that was very creative and trendy. The food was beautifully presented, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the wine selections were wonderful. I wanted to like this place because it really seemed geared toward foodies but the dishes were... More

As I coeliac I found them excellent. Gluten free bread and ensuring I could eat was not a problem. Is more of a modern upper class restaurant than a traditional trattoria. Staff were all exceeding friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We found it on google only after finding maps of Rome. Very close to our hotel (Hotel Italy) and a little gem. The food in general was delicious (especially the carbonara - over fab) and the prices were extremely reasonable for both food and wine. Revies about uncomfortable chairs are true, but a small annoyance. Highly recommended.
