What can I say about this restaurant. It was absolutely outstanding!! The food was made with fresh ingredients and so flavorful. However, the food pales in comparison to the people. We came in to eat and we did plenty of that but, more importantly, we made some new friends. We went here two of the four nights we were in... More

We visited this restaurant after a long day in Rome. What a great experience this would become. Very, very friendly staff making jokes with our kids. The food is superb, homemade ravioli and desserts. Delicious! The restaurant is somewhat dated, not very attractive at first sight, but it is authentic and focused on the guests and food. We had a... A restaurant where they serve the classic Italian kitchen. Slow food as it was meant to be. Great service too.

Small and lovely. The artichoke salad was very fresh and so was the risotto. The carbonara was nothing but excellent.

This restaurant is about 8 blocks from the Borghese Villa park. Its decor is charming and the service was perfect. We did not need a reservation, but it was in December that we visited. The only downside is that the lighting was a little brighter than I would set it for an evening sitting, but this was inconsequential. The food... More

Nothing to say about the food, which is for sure good quality, but the service is slow, the prices high and the portions small: you cannot call "mixed salad" 5€ a very small bowl with few leaves of salad and 3 slices of tomatoes

The food was good and the wine was reasonable priced, the service was ok . Just be careful as in most Rome restaurant about the extras , bread, water, tip.

We really didn't like the atmosphere in there at all, boring, bland and lacking any interest. We were invited to sit at a table which is in a row so close to the next one I might as well have been eating with them (all the table are like this. We were then ignored and after about 10 minutes no-one... More

My family dropped in exhausted on our first day in Rome on recommendation from our hotel. My daughters loved the gnocchi and the Lasagna so much they insisted we return on our last day. After a week at eating at some of Rome's best restaurants, we were unanimous that La Pentolaccia's pasta was as good if not better than most.... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
