The desk clerk at our hotel recommended Lowenhaus to us and we loved the place. Located in a narrow alley just a stone's throw from Piazza de Poppolo, it offers indoor and outdoor seating. We ate dinners twice there at an outdoor table and thoroughly enjoyed both meals (various pastas and pizzas). Our waitress both times was Claudia, originally from... More

The staff was very professional and helpful. The restaurant is located on a busy street. However, this minor disturbance does not take away from ejoying your delicious meal. I had the gnocchi in tomato sauce for lunch and sparkling water with lemon.

The staff is quick and efficient. The food is hot, fast, and very flavorful. The prices are reasonable. Very peaceful location.

I had the beef stake here and was ok. Not excellent but was ok. Prices are normal for the area and the staff was friendly. We stayed at the terass which is on a quiet norrow street near the piazza del popolo.

Very nice friendly staff, lovely food, reasonable prices, on a lovely little quiet street just off the bustling Via del Corso and right beside Piazza del Popolo. (5 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps)

I figured after pizza and pasta it was time for a change. The place only has a German name, and nothing else. Terrible food, actually pure crap. the dining room is in the cellar and smells like a Gym locker room. my advice is just walk by it and deal with local fare.

My favourite bar and eatery in Rome. I come to Rome every 2 years for the rugby and we ALWAYS come here. The place is lovely. Typical German Bier Keller. The beer is great. And the food is even better. All with nice friendly staff. And they always show the rugby. Always worth the visit

We ate here after my wife picked it. Its located on a side street and we sat outside as it was a pleasant evening. The waitress was pleasant and efficient, fixing our wobbly table. I ordered a lasagne with my wife opting for the carbonara and a mushroom pizza to share. Whilst my wife wanted coke I ordered a large... More

We stopped in on our way to piazza del popolo for a drink and a rest. Great atmosphere, little downstairs cavern with German songs on the radio. They brought us a nice meat and cheese plate and the beers were excellent. Right in the heart of things but slightly out of the way on a side street. A fun find!

We found it by accident. The staff was very friendly. The place is very cosy. As for the food....excellent...one of the best pizzas in Rome so far. Highly recomended.
