We went twice and we didn't regret it. This is a typical trattoria romana. Typical in the choice of food and atmosphere. The owner is a real "romanaccio". We had rigatoni alla carbonara, artichokes and gnocchi once, and pici cacio e pepe and polpette another time. I loved it. And it's not at all expensive. You need to be aware... More

We read the reviews and were really looking forward to this restaurant. The welcome was fine but it just went down hill from there. We were expecting a relaxed meal but were pressurised from the minute that we sat down. There was only the choice of a fixed menu, the waiters seemed very impatient and not particularly interested, Each course... More

The food is great (local dishes) and the prices are reasonable, especially at lunch. Not very central but easy to reach nonetheless. Service professional and at decent speed but really cold-mannered (maybe it was a bad day), that in Rome is even more striking if compared to the average. Would recommend anyway

Loved the traditional Cacio & Pepe pasta! Good service and really pleasant atmosphere too. Staff was polite and spoke English well.

We went here years ago on the advice of our B&B owner. We walked in and sat down (you don't do it that way, but what did we know?). After that, we were seated and were told about the set menu. It was 25Euro even back then (good to see it is still the same). We could each choose our... More

Having booked this on the advice of Italian friends we forgot that it is a fixed menu and so turned up less hungry than usual as we had been to the rugby beforehand and due to not opening until 8pm we ended up having a couple of drinks after the match with the usual free 'nibbles'. So as the menu... More

This place was definitely more rough around the edges and authentic. They had a fixed menu for 25 euro and don't worry, it is enough food. The atmosphere was interesting as it is covered in rugby memorabilia. It was a nice place though but a little random is all. The service was good and the people there were nice. The... More

In the evening only set meny, €25 unless you take the beefsteak (which did look great). For that you get a load of antipasti, pasta, main course (a fantastic rabbit in my case), and a heap of cookies to dip in the sweet wine. generous portions. Other beverages and dessert are extra. Very good deal, in our opinion. The place... More

They tell you the romans eat late but if you want a table then either book or arrive early. 8pm is recommended. Many were turned away after 8.30 when the al fresco tables were all full. While you can order al la carte i suggest the set menu is great value at 25 Euro a head. Food is robust and... More
