I had been walking all day exploring the city and was ravenously hungry, but really wasn't sure about where I wanted to eat. In the end I decided I would walk through the door of the next restaurant that I assed, which was The Trattoria del Pollarolo. The restaurant and service is simple, the house wine was a bit rough... Service and food both outstanding. Every dish we ordered was tasty. Even finished with dessert (four!). Dine here without fear of disappointment.

This was by far the most authentic and delicious experience we had during our stay there. The pasta was to die for, the pizza amazing, the service very friendly and helpful. try going there before 8pm rush hour, cause the place is packed even on a weekday. The most amazing Tiramissu ever!

We reached there at 2.45 and they close at 3 but they still allowed us in! The pizza was amazing and the ravioli was superb.

What a great find – a block off Piazza Popolo. The pizza had the thinnest crust I have eaten with a nice char around the edges and the mushrooms were plentiful. My artichoke appetizer was one of the specials of the day. I certainly recommend that diners check out the chalkboard for the daily specials, as a nice glass of... More

We came after reading the great reviews. The place was crowded, mostly by Local pepole and we had to wait for 10 min, but it was worth it! The restaurant established on 1936 and you can realy feel the Italian heritage and atmosphere! The prices were reasonable ( around 10€ for the main dish), and the service was good! Last,... More

Absolutely amazing traditional Italian restaurant with old world charm - super popular but small restaurant which should not be missed on your trip to Rome. Could not believe that the house red was a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo 2015 and only for €8! Service was amazing and super waiter Michael who was really helpful and helped us choose the right dishes. I... More

After a great tour of Borghese museum and gardens we had libch nearby at Trattoria dal Pollarolo. Family owned, their pizzas feature delicious thin crust and cheese, meat and vegetable toppings. House red is a Montepulciano and the best Tiramisu (freshly made; family recipe) I have ever had. Reasonable and very enjoyable, lots of locals mixed in with tourists.
