We had heard about this restaurant just up the road from the Colosseum and in the opposite direction to the Metro so it was not packed with tourist and probably attracted more locals. It did not open till 1900hrs (7pm) but the food is well worth it. We shared a litre of house red wine and had their special of... More

The best restaurant out of 4 we dined in on our mini break. If you didn't know of this restaurant you would walk by looking for a more pleasing looking establishment. Don't be fooled by appearances because this is a gem. Food, wine and service as good as any in the Spanish steps area or Jewish quarter but 25% cheaper.... More

My husband and I came across this restaurant when we were staying at a local hotel. We had read the good tripadvisor reviews so thought we'd give it a try. We opted for the chefs special pasta (4 different pasta dishes chosen by the chef) and it was amazing. It was great to try something they clearly do well. We... More

Had a wonderful meal in a nice, casual setting. Beatrice, our waitress, was excellent. Perfectly prepared sea bass and amberjack. The scallops au gratin were the highlight. Great value.

We were recommended to this Restaurant from our nearby hotel, Mercure Colisseo. Was a pleasant change from the tourist trap places nearer the colisseum. Great service and good food. We had a very nice Chianti here with a couple of good steaks. Highly recommended.

Ordered the chefs choice pasta as they apparently are famous for it. Why I am not sure it was the worst pasta and risotto we had ever eaten. The gnocchi was good but nothing else. Service was aweful and they overcharged us on our bill.

We went to Isidoro because many other redtaurants near were closed on Easter Sunday but actually Isidoro was a very pleasent surprise. Warm athmosphere, good food and no tricks with the bill. Easy and nice casual dinner. Nothing really special but if you are near colosseum and looking for better food than the expensive places near colosseum offer it's worth... More

We had a wonderful dinner in this tradional family style restaurant. The menu was too big but Andrea our waiter guided us to a wonderful selection. We selected the steak. And what a great choice that was. Perfectly cooked and accompanied with a nice Lambrusco. Their hazelnut tiramisu was the topping on the cake. We concluded with a nice grappa... More

Having followed the reviews we'll share our experience. Well chilled and sober we entered a nice establishment and engaged in a nice meal experience. Scallops followed by an excellent steak and gnocchi and good deserts. Two nice staff and one with a chip on his shoulder. Couldn't be bothered to even bring milk for the coffee despite asking politely. Someone... More

Sidoro is very famous for its "taste" of pasta, a tasting pasta dishes selected by the chef. So you can enjoy, in addition to classic early Romans as bucatini or spaghetti alla Carbonara Amatriciana, our classics of all time and our news accompanied by fine wines. 3 The daily arrivals of fresh fish, meat of first quality and excellent desserts made by our pastry chefs greatly enrich the proposal of our local.
