The food is really delicious, amazing pizza, but in the evenings it's very busy. Better reserve a table in advance.

Excellent authentic food. Artichokes to die for and wonderful caio e pepe spaghetti. Overall an excellent place in a great area of Rome with little touristy stuff.

My friend took me here and we had a lovely meal. We had the fried artichokes which were delicious and then wonderful fresh pasta with fabulous artichokes ... To conclude semi fresco sabayon... Amazing!

Locals eat here. The place is well known and busy. You get a traditional roman menu. Not cheap but I suppose the prices are average for Rome. If you order meat be aware, that is all you will get. You need to order Veggies and Potatoes separately at EUR 4 per serving. That was new to me and that what... More

Visited with a group of friend by suggestion of a local. Very traditional restaurant. We had artichokes in many different ways and they were a-ma-zing. I didn't like the pasta very much, it was full of oil. A nice experience overall

Staying nearby and stumbled upon Pecorino. We ate inside in the air conditioned cool. Lots of choice on the menu, I had melanzane parmigiana followed by pasta with turbot and pecorino both very good. Friends had mixed smoked fish and Parma ham with melon followed by ravioli and saltimbocca. All very good. Nice bottle of valpollicella. We'll be back as... More

I am Italian-American and have been living in Italy for a few years now. I speak fluent Italian and I understand the Italian culture thoroughly. My friend and her uncle were visiting Rome for a week and it was their first time out of the country. For their last evening in Italy they wanted to eat at a restaurant that... More

At least it seemed authentic and fresh and it is open on Sunday nights. It seems many places are not. I had the veal in cacciatora style and it was perfect. Each bite was tender and delicious. My wife had the fettuccine al la gricia. It was good but not great. The sauce was different but seemed to get better... More

Authentic, yet well presented Roman cuisine. Very friendly and efficient service, great and reasonably priced wine-list.

A bit expensive, but we ate very good "cucina romana" and carciofi. We loved pasta and meat and they had amazing cakes

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
