Reasonably cheap place to pick up a sandwich for lunch. Cheaper than nearly all of the places in the locale so well worth finding.

We followed the amazing smells of baking bread in the street and stumbled upon this gem. Ordered four different slices (mushroom, mushroom w sausage, chicory with sausage, and Parma ham/mozarella). Every piece was scrumptious. Has a huge amount of variety and the crust was superb. Fast service and a big store layout make this a child friendly place (we sat... More

Friendly guys serving, suggested a gorgonzola mushroom slice, absolutely gorgeous! Nicest pizza we had in Rome I might even say.

It is worth finding this bakery/pizza place. They sell pizza slices by weight and have terrific selections. Just choose your favourite one, tell them how big a slice, and after it is weighted, you will get an "invoice" to pay. Have it heated up, and enjoy! This is not a sit-down restaurant, but rather a bakery with a counter space... More

Attention American tourists! This is the place you need to eat while in Rome!! Incredible authentic pizza and the whole time I was there---only locals came in It stays open super late on the weekends, and IT is delicious!!!! Get the potato pizza---at least 1 slice.

Finally! A great pizza place in Rome! Amazingly it was not easy to find good pizza here if you stay in the mostly busy tourist areas. This place has a huge choice of pizzas and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Every slice is weighed so you only pay for what they cut and the prices are amazingly reasonable.... More

We just happened to pass this place and stopped for a slice. Had the zucchini pizza then returned for spinach and sundried tomato. The best ever. The base is crunchy and chewy and moorish and the toppings delicious. We returned later for coconut and honey cake. Sooooo delicious. Lucky for my hips this place is not near my home!!!!

I thought that the pizza looked very good, but the taste was bland. I had margherita cold, and sundried tomato, capers and olive heated, both on foccacia. It was 2pm so maybe it was sitting too long but the bread was oily yet bland, and hadn't incorporated the flavour of the toppings. The topping was very good quality. Not pizza,... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
