We went to Le Tavernelle with a big group of many nationalities, so big that we had to book two long tables to fit everyone. The staff was great to us from the moment we walked in and we were all served in no time. We all got different types of wine and beers and antipasti etc. It all flowed... More

We were staying nearby and visited this restaurant on a Friday evening. Ok so the decor is rather dated, but for us the atmosphere of a restaurant makes (of breaks) a meal and this place was busy, chatty and buzzy. We were seated straight away. Service wasn't rushed, food was tasty and good value. One of our favourite meals during... More

The waiter was very friendly and helpful with his recommendations. The pasta with cheese crust is awesome, be aware though, it is a lot😉 The veal shank is very tender as all the other meat as well!

This bustling traditional restaurant was found using Tripadvisor as being close to our hotel. The walls were covered in photographs of past customers and the staff were very helpful and the food selection was to suit all tastes, the usual starters, antipastas, meat and fish course. The fish was superb and I saw steaks that gave me food envy! Would... More

Very traditional restaurant, felt like eating in someone's home with home cooked meals! We both had different soups to start and they were delicious. I would recommend it!

Had lunch with 2 friends and had a great meal at a very respectable price. The food was perfect and ambiance even better. Staff great. No complaints except trying to get a seat in such a quality restaurant maybe difficult.

When we arrived it was empty but we soon realised that most of the tables were booked as this place is very popular, Our food was really nice, particularly the lamb with rosemary. Not cheap but we'd go back.

It's a historical restaurant near the Colosseum, that offers Roman dishes, meat, fish, no pizza. Air conditioning, free wifi, small pets allowed, disabled inaccessible. Go park the car on the blue parking lots scattered around the area, and have a walk through the evocative streets of the city centre. You can reach us by stepping off the Metro A "Cavour". Characteristic dessert of the place: the Dolcevita, a sort of "panna cotta" without eggs (it was dedicated the the Italian director Fellini, who happened to be allergic to eggs).
