Absolutely amazing food. I went twice in three days because the food was great. I can see why this place has great reviews

I'm not rating a food, as I was not able even to test it (see above why), but service is bad, caffe (it's not a restaurant level) is not client oriented, staff is required education. We had bad experience here. After a good dinner in other restaurant we decided to visit other cafe/restaurant for some coffee and sweets/cases. We entered... More

First of all we are not a "Caffe" restuarant, but we do let our customers to have coffee and sweets when it's not rush hours. As for you, you came to our restuarant around 8:30ish at our restuarant, which was already full and with a waiting line outside as you noticed. If you would let us know ahead of time... More

Although I really wanted to go to a tried-and-tested restaurant to have supper, I chose to try this restaurant out, both because it was always crowded and because it came with good ratings on tripadvisor. I wish I'd listened to my instincts. It was indeed crowded and the manager was very offhand -- he shrugged me towards a seat once... More

Thank you for choosing our restuarant. It's true that you came to our restuarant during rush hour ( by the way our restaurant was full that night with 80% of locals, all of them booked) About our quality of food.. We can guarantee we use fresh products, that are prepared by very experienced chefs. As for our appetizer.. It seems... More

We were 24 students from denmark and from our week long stay, we will forever remember this restaurant. It is without doubt the best place in Rome! We will be back ;-)

Very tasty pasta dishes with a very good service, staying outdoors is a bit noisy as there is a club in front of the restaurant. Recommended though.

So we came here for dinner, we didn't reserve a table but it was ok. We decided to dine al fresco style and sit by the roaring fire pits, there were blankets on the chairs too which was a nice touch. We decided to order a bottle of the house white which was very nice indeed. We had a bruschetta... More

Mamma Angela was suggested by our hotel in the neighborhood and was not an enjoyable experience. The tables were very small and extremely close together. There was no accommodation for wheel chair use, and we had to let them stow the chair while we ate. (Afterwards, it took 20 minutes for them to retrieve it.) The place has loud music,... More

Of the three nights we were in Rome, we ate here twice, it was that good! We visited based on our hotel receptionist's recommendation, and we are so glad she told us about this place as we would never have found it otherwise! All the staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. We went on a Saturday and Monday night (end... More

We went here because it was highly rated on trip advisor. We knew it was a tourist trap when the first thing the host said to us was "Hey guys". The menu was all in English so that's a great sign... This place is a tourist trap. There was not a single local in there and for good reason. They... More

Thank you for choosing our restuarant. So, obviously we are located in the Termini area, which is a high tourist area. But, we do have a lot of locals who come eat in our restuarant through out the day ( which half of the comments in the comment section are made by Italians). Ok, about the wine and food.. We... Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
