Local, easy walk from hotel for lunch, dinner or just a glass of wine. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to.

Discovered this small cafe near our hotel. Pasta was great and the staff was very friendly. Went back and ate there 3 of the nights we were in Rome!

We have chosen this place as it looked like a local one and we wanted an italian pizza. Unfortunately we got pizza which looked and tasted like frozen one from the shop. Too bad, the owner seemed friendly. Maybe pasta or other food is better but I definitely do not recommend their pizza.

Stumbling across this unassuming establishment, following a long, wet afternoon of walking and sightseeing, we were welcomed heartily by Anthony and his staff. Charismatic and friendly, they instantly made us feel 'at home', engaging us in conversation and sharing some of their own experiences. The food was decent and inexpensive, the wine was good. We ended up spending many more... More

A tad of the beaten path, quaint and cozy. Still great people watching. Our dinner was wonderful! Went back every night we were there and had more fun each time. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his daughter; what delightful, gracious people. For a night cap, have a Vecchio Amaro del Capo (trust me on this one). Will... More

Stopped in at this place after checking into our accommodation nearby. The place was nearly empty when we arrived so we went to sit down at a smallish looking table. We were promptly met by a man (papa I guess?) Who told us to move from the table to sit within what felt like a few millimeters of the only... More

We visited this bar last year for the first time and when back in Rome recently we went back. The food and surroundings are simple, but the staff are friendly and engaging. Its very relaxed and nobody wants to rush you. It is very reasonable to eat and drink here, compared to most other places in the area. It is... More

We arrived at Papa's Cafe and we're initially impressed with its cute decor. The food however was a disappointment! My husband order Lasagna...think it's Rome - how can you go wrong? I ordered Chicken with green veggies. Both meals were overcooked and looked like they have been reheated. I sent my meal back as the chicken was like cardboard and... More

Ate here for 2 nights during our stay in Rome. Family run business situated on a quaint street.Food was very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Pasta dishes were delicious especially the spaghetti funghi but I didn't like the pizzas. They were very thin and the topping was very runny.
