We were looking for a good place to have an Italian calzone, and found this place online, which had great reviews. The place was packed, and we had to wait a little long for a table, but it was totally worth it. The calzone was amazing, and then we had a delicious tiramisu for dessert. Only bad thing about it,... Just keep walking. No flavour, cheap rubbery ingredients... but hey, the service was OK. We were hard up, no reservations and the place looked nice for the family. We were seated in the back with a view of the service station. Apps... the assorted brucceta with olive, artichoke, tomato.... bread smothered with goop. No artichoke... replaced with some pepper goop... More

We were a group of 4 couples in Rome for the Wales rugby match and were staying in an hotel close by which kindly booked this restaurant for us. It was very busy and it is wise to make a reservation. We all had a great dining experience here and loved the food and the wine. Marianna our waitress was... More

We had our first dinner in Rome at this trattoria. The layout was ok and the menu offered all you could ask for. Service was swift and polite. However being a first timer in Italy hence a bit undecided when ordering the dishes, waitress rushed us a bit which was not kind really. We had regular Bruschettas for the start... More

I had Bruscetta and the bread was so hard I had to leave it behind..I ordered the pasta with Lobster..there were 4 pieces of lobster in its shell on the place ,we estimated about less than 1 oz meat total and I finally got a cracker and the only promising piece went flying onto my lap! The wine and ambiance... More

Decent food - simple and classic. Extensive menu with really reasonable prices for food and drinks. A busy restaurant with efficient, helpful staff.

This trattoria in the hip Monti neighborhood is (or at least seems) authentic and serves traditional italian cuisine in mid range prices. The menu has a wide variety of all typical italian dishes - pizzas, pasta, risotto, meat etc. The waiters were very polite and attentive. The food was very good - nothing memorable that impresses, but still quite good.... More

We were given a discount coupon for Trattoria il Tettarello from our hosts at Nostomondo, the apartment we rented in the Monti neighbourhood. I think the reviews here on the whole are balanced and accurately reflect a range of experiences: from tourist to local. Ours was positive. The restaurant walls are festooned with woodworking tools and other bric—à-brac. The waitstaff... More

Pizzas are garnished approximately. A slice of ham on the edge of the pizza and only 2 eggs. Industrial ice cream with no taste. Finally we wanted to pay our bill separately and the restaurant declined in a non-friendly and not smiling way. Disappointed with this restaurant despite the good reviews that we read.

This is the second restaurant our hotel recommended and its another disappointment. I actually read reviews before we headed over and it seemed OK, nothing special but good quality. The reality however was very different. We saw a wood fired pizza oven in the back so assumed the pizza must be phenomenal but we were wrong. The dough tasted defrosted... More
