We came to Via Rasella to try Hostaria Romana which was completely booked and didn't have a table for another three hours. We saw Hostaria Rasella and thought we would give it a try despite it being pretty much empty (in some ways our own stupidity) the starter was not bad but quite expensive, the main course was not al... Food was passable, but overpriced for what it was. Drinks were a few euros higher than it's adjacent competitors. When we elected for wine only (declining to pay for water) and to skip the secundi plates after the so-so primeri, We got some attitude and then a lie about their credit card machine not working, after I had seen another... I am sorry to review so negatively among all of the positive reviews of this place, but I feel I must warn others. This restaurant still has their Trip Advisor accolades from 2011 posted on their door, which prompted us to enter in the first place. So deceiving! We visited Rome in early October, 2016. We had been sightseeing all... More

Romantic place a short walk from Piazza Bernini. Gnocchi was homemade as was the pesto sauce it came in. The salami and cheese appetizer is the way to go. The tiramisu was laugh and best in Rome, that's saying a lot.

We ended up here by mistake - having actually had a reservation at a nearby, similarly named restaurant. But it turned out to be a happy accident! The dining room is pleasant, not huge, and there is al fresco dining on the street, which is on a small side street, so fairly quiet. The server was very pleasant and accommodating.... More

A wonderful dining experience in this beautiful, little hidden gem of a restaurant. This is classic Roman cuisine done with contemporary finesse. The dining room is comfortable, while not large. There is also outdoor seating available when things get busy. Hidden away on a quiet side street, this restaurant affords a lovely setting for a family or intimate dinner. My... More

Starters were ok, but everything else was horrible. The owner(?) did nothing while a single servant litteraly ran around. The main courses were awful. The coffee was disgusting. Something has gone terribly wrong since the good reviews on Trip Advisor. Dont do it

The starters were okay, but the main courses were boring, lacking inspiration. One of them wasn't even edible. Also, the espresso was probably the worst I've ever had.

We had lunch here. Good service, good food. Would like to rate it 3,5. Not cheap, but good quality. It looks simple from outside.

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
