Very bad experience. Waiters act like they are making you a favor, being quite rude. 1 dish at a time for a table for 6 people. Food is nothing special, small portions.

No atmosphere, rude staff and poor quality ingredients. Tomato and basil salad was a hard tasteless tomato, one basil leaf on top and no dressing. This was Italian summer when tomatoes are ripe and delicious. Our pasta was cold and greasy.

First let me give a shout out to WillowAway. Your title made me laugh. It's Italy! Almost all Italians hate it when tourists show up! Almost, but not all. That's my experience. And that's where I start my review of Giggi. Sorry, but my experience...More

Simply a catastrophe. We ordered salad as a primo and different things as a secondo. The salads came after almost 1 hour after we asked again. I think the waitress simply forgot them. She also forgot to serve bread. Then only 1 minute later she...More

We stopped by this restaurant without doing any research first, when we were in search of lunch. The menu offers a number of fresh pasta dishes, which was the draw. I selected the tonnarelli with mushrooms and peas, served in a white cream sauce. The...More

There isn't a whole lot about Trattoria da Giggi that inspires strong positives or negatives -- simply indifference. For lunch, I had what was essentially cacio e pepe -- it tasted OK, but the sauce broke while the dish was being prepared and didn't properly...More

We enjoyed having a few courses at this trattoria without breaking the bank. It's a small place but we found a seat for 2 and could figure out the menu. The frittata appetizer and prosciutto and melon were delicious. Then we enjoyed the clams and...More

We stopped on spec for some lunch. The service was good and fairly quick. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and we weren't disappointed. Worth a stop as you won't go wrong.

Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields
to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most
desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best
place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and
Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with
enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s
best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a
fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to
