Good food, friendly service. Not the very best I have had in Italy but quite good. The lamb was excellent. For those who complained about bones and such, lamb is actually from an animal that has bone, muscle, fat and tendons. They give great flavor to the meat and potatoes. That is how it is done. Good, reasonably priced wines.... More

Recommended by a colleague, this was a definitely a good choice. Food was excellent and service (and translation) by Diego very helpful. There was a good, happy buzz to the restaurant and will definitely be returning.

I'm very lucky in that I get to travel to Rome a lot due to business. Having been recommended this restaurant by an Italian colleague, I was not disappointed. Even walking to the restaurant is a fantastic journey through typical small, beautiful cobbled streets. Finding the restaurant we were welcomed by Diego, who immediately made us feel very welcome, the... More

So, there is no shortage of superb dining experiences in Rome, but to have such an experience in a touristy area... that is rare. Al Duello is tucked away in an inviting side street not far from the Pantheon. It is a truly an all around gratifying experience. The combination of great food, authentic roman delicacies and expert service left... More

We used the 'fork' reservation via the TripAdvisor app and got 50% off an incredible dinner. My sea bass secondi was amazing!

We found this little gem of a restaurant and although neither of us speak Italian the waiter was incredibly helpful. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Fresh lamb chops with roasted potatoes cooked in rosemary was lovely, and the house tagliatelle was tasty, although could have done with a little more flavour. Desert was fantastic - both had... I first ate at Al Duello in 2013, and on a trip to Rome last week, I ate there 2 more times - it was as delicious as I remembered! A bit more upscale in its decor, atmosphere and service - yet friendly, attentive servers and very approachable food. Local favourite dishes are well presented, and often with a bit... More

This was my second visit. Originally I rated it as outstanding, but now it is very disappointing. The food was not even mediocre, and it is still overpriced. The stuffed zucchini flowers appetizer was a meager portion, and not all that good. The roasted lamb dish consisted of broken pieces of a bone, with some charred gristle and a little... More

We were recommend this restaurant by our hotel as a special treat for my 40th celebration. I want to start by saying that the waiters were excellent but worked off their feet. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco things looked good, unfortunately this was the best part. My husbands starter was basically a bowl of salty cheese sauce... More

Dear Guest, your comment is incredible. Cacio e pepe the same cheese sauce of the appetizer wich was a burrata cream? I'm afraid the good cousine from the historical roman old tradition is not for you. Anyway your disappoint was certanly welcome that night directly to me or to the waiter wich has been very happy to offer you a... More

Very good staff service, if not one of the best during our 2 week Europe trip. The menu was not overwhelmingly huge, they have just the right amount of delicious items. Clean and pleasing atmosphere, candle lit tables with thick cloth covers. Smaller place, but not too small. It seems to be a restaurant visited more by locals, but also... More
