Very nice, warm and friendly restaurant. I eat an amazing lasanha and in the end an even more amazing cherry tart (that I still dream about :P)

Small place. Sparsely decorated. Staff attentive. Small menu. The spaghetti carbonara is excellent. Portions are adequate. Pasta and a sparkling mineral water for 10€. You can't beat that.

In a nice neighborhood with a worker outside enthusiastically inviting you to come in. The atmosphere inside is welcoming. They speak 'mostly' Italian and give excellent table service. The food is authentic Italian fare, and tastes very good. This is a restaurant that - if I lived in the city- I would regularly visit.

Stopped for lunch after visiting the Vatican (only a 5-10 minute walk away) Nice lunch with a couple of large size beers for less than €30. Service a little spotty as they were serving a large group.Asked on 3 separate occasions for a water glass that never came. Moral of the story--- just order beer or wine😀

Don't be put off by the touristy menu, as the food here seems to be well prepared and very good value. We followed the friendly staff's advice and tried the daily specials. Excellent eggplant parmigana, a tasty pork stew and generous veg, antipasta. Straight forward dining with good value, 1 app. 2 mains 1 dulce, 1 bread and wine for... More

We enjoyed two meals at da Giggi recently. Nice staff, delicious food. The lamb was the best I've ever tasted. Also the saltimboca ala Romana was delicious. The servings are not large but are reasonably priced and with an appetizer or a second plate or side dish or dessert you experience a wonderful Italian meal. Try it! It was recommended... More

Beware, a portion is plated for children, is not for people who like to eat. All prices are only for plates, you pay apart for gasket. At final price is like a normal turist menu. Price for drinks are ok.

Had excellent service and some of the best food ever. Great appetizers and wine. Tried four different appetizers, the best was the potatoes with onion. Waiter suggested a couple of entrees and both were wonderful.

We had dinner at Giggi on a Wednesday night. It was recommended by a family member. Opens at 6:30 for dinner. About 5 min walk from Vatican. It specializes in typical Roman fare. So, we concentrated on very Roman items. We had several appetizers....potatoes with onions, tripe, cheese, and the beans with pork. The beans, in particular, were spectacular. All... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
