We visited this restaurant as it was close to our hotel! The service was outstanding, very friendly, very quick and very helpful. We both had pasta to start which was delicious and then steak for our mains which was cooked to perfection! The food was cheap for the quality! We would definitely recommend and would return

We are here and the food was amazing and the service was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and was clear it is a popular place without over crowding! Would happily go here again

one immediately feels welcome in this family run restaurant. we ate fresh mushrooms, pasta, lobster and seafood here. an australian couple at the next table said they came here six nights in a row. the prices are reasonable, the service friendly, good wines are served by the glass and the art covered walls make for a charming ambience. highly recommended

We were looking for a place to have dinner got a little lost and found this charming restaurant. It was a rainy night but warm so we were able to sit outside under the canopy. Other people had the same idea so the owner put up big umbrellas to accommodate everyone. The food was very good, we had roast lamb... More

We first visited IL COLIBRI in September 2015. So, during this year's visit to Rome, we decided to go again and enjoy this family restaurant. We went early but it soon became filled up with tourists and Italians. Excellent pasta, delicious steak, crispy pizza. We finished the meal with Italian desserts and Limoncelo. Will go again next year !!

the place was recommended by a b&b we were staying. We tried it the first evening and returned after that every day. The atmosphere is authentic Rome between the 1960's and 1990's anywhere. There are tourists and Italians also. The price wil not be Macdonalds' low and the portions the usual Italian size (you know, like pasta is the first... More

Passed by the restaurant on our way to the stadium - what a pleasant surprise after a disgusting lunch earlier today in a tourist trap. Marvelous meal. Value for money. We will be back that´s for sure..

The service was fast, but the "chef's offer" is a tipical tourist trap. We ordered it, and we got a tiny lasagne, which looked and tasted like a bad school cantin meal for 10€. One of my friend ordered a pizza, it was not so bad, but average. Untill we asked for the bill, they were friendly, but after the... More

We were staying close to the restaurant, it was recommended to us and it lived up to our expectations of a family run restaurant with great food and service! We went here twice :-) !!

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
