The service is horrible. The waiters are not friendly, they look like machines serving customers, without even a simple smile. It was the first time in my life that I was asked to leave a restaurant ... (they had a reservation???!!!) Rome and its visitors deserve restaurants with better service and also with better food ... the food was basic... More

Good decor but lousy service. Food is terríble. Do not recomend any visit. Lots of nicer places where we can enjoy italian food. Very disapointing.

We enjoyed good pasta at Garbani 1842 for a reasonable price. The eggplant parmigiana & ravioli were delicious although the serving size should have been slightly larger. Given that we had two salads & two pasta dishes for 44 Euros we were happy to save some room for gelato. Note: There appears to be two names for this restaurant: Garbini... More

I'll start with the positive, it's beautifully decorated and inviting. The rest: the food is absolutely terrible. The wine is also terrible. We should have known because there was only one other couple in there but it looked so interesting with paintings everywhere and candlelit tables. They trick you by having many "trip advisor" stickers in the window, but upon... More

Recommended to us by our tour guide, we were pleasantly surprised by this little gem! The food was absolutely delicious and service was great! Would definitely go back next time we're in Rome. Worth a stop - make reservations!

Truly great food. The cacio pepe pasta was the best I've tasted. Also a delicious fresh pasta and truffle dish. We had four different dishes and they were all good. I would recommend when in Rome.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch today because we recently had good experiences at the little bistros on this block. Well, choosing Garbini today was a bad choice. The waitress was initially friendly and then after bringing our appetizer of assorted meats and cheeses (which was good), she completely lost interest in serving us. A table of Europeans... More

The food is simple and reliable. Wait staff and managers have a great sense of humor. Wine list is a bit low end but there are a few finds. Sit outside and watch the parade that seems to flow from 10am to midnight.

We selected this restaurant as the on street promoter was less pushy than the others. It was busy and we were given a glass while waiting for a table. It all started well to the point of ordering after which it went wrong. The diners at the adjoining table who arrived at the same time as us received their starters... More

Stumbled across this gem, as we were looking for a place for lunch! Great house wine, fabulous fried artichokes and out-of-this world truffle pasta. I'd never tried truffles before, not big on mushrooms, but my friend ordered it and we were blown away.

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
