We went into It Bread & Salad and asked about the pricing of bottles of wine. After they wiped the dust off each bottle, they advised prices as high as the 4-5 star restaurants we visited on this trip. Since this was our last night, we did not want to argue and just bought a bottle. Not even 30 yards... More

Don't go here, it's a tourist rip-off! Cappuccino is 1,2€ on the menu but if you sit outside they make it 5€ (and that of course nobody tells you in advance). Like this we were charged 21€ instead of 7,8€. On top of this they threatened us with physical violence if we would not pay (we complained of course).

This is the advice. We ordered cappuccinos, the price was 1.20 eur on the main menu, they made it 3 eur each just because we decided to sit here, not stand near the waiter, of course you know that when you pay. It's ridiculous. Coffee is awful also. No way you go in there.

Pre-made sandwiches great for a quick lunch in between sightseeing. Very cheap on Italian standards as well! They also had lots of great salads and fresh sandwiches you could order if you spoke Italian well enough to let them know what you wanted :)

Thank Marlena W

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
