The desserts are excellent, the coffee is normal, the service is good (Monica is the best). There are five defects: too much noise (this can be resolved with some ad hoc panels), loud music, difficulty in managing chaotic moments, some waiters are not up to average, excessive cost. It is a rough jewel that deserves more care and attention for the customer

The quality of the pastry shop is very high, the service is very friendly, the environment is not huge but welcoming and refined. Of course, during rush hour there is confusion. But it is Roman confusion, it is endemic, physiological. It says, "Centro Storico prices". But we are in the historic center! In Testaccio, under the Aventine Hill, a stone's throw from Trastevere and the Pyramid of Cestius, did you want to pay, with all due respect, like in Torre Maura? I suspect that among the detractors there are some envious competitors. There is no other way to explain some "two points" given to Barberini.

I give it 4 out of 5 because you can see that there is a different thought from a classic pastry shop. The pastry shop I tried (the one in the photo) was good but nothing exceptional, better single portions Sacher and the Barberini, their strong point, which is really something special, the rest is normal. The other single portions didn't impress me, I recommend these two. I didn't like the coffee. Honest prices. There is an understandable surcharge for seating.

I came in to have breakfast and I was with my 7 month old daughter in the stroller. I ordered a cappuccino and a yeast at the counter, immediately afterwards I realized that the stroller was taking up a lot of the space and I asked if it was possible to go outside to the table and I was told yes. Clearly, with a stroller it was impossible for me to go out with the cup of cappuccino and the saucer of yeast (and already here I would have expected one of the waiters to say to me "ma'am, do you need help?"); I then ask if it is possible to have it on the tray and in a sour and rude manner a waitress tells me that then I have to pay for the service. I told her it was no problem and to bring my breakfast to the table. Assuming that if you have to pay for the service it is sacrosanct that it is paid (as I did) I wonder how it is possible to be treated with such rudeness having a little girl with you. Long live Italy and long live solidarity towards women and mothers! For all you care (since you have so-called "full pockets", you have lost a customer.

We stopped here several times just for an excellent coffee and a pastry (or two), but the panini make an outstanding lunch, and the cornetti with a cappuccino make a brilliant light breakfast. Cakes with mirror glaze, the tiny Sacher torts and other beautiful and tasty mignon fill the window display and case inside. You'll want to splurge here and you can't go wrong. We will be back as soon as travel is allowed again.

Waiters all polite: except for one who evidently not only does not know what it means to stand at the stand to the public but surely will never even have entered a bar to have breakfast. This is a message addressed to the Owner of the place: attention that it only takes one employee who does not know how to stay in his place that the bar loses customers cascading. Be careful because it would be a real shame. This bartender is not in line with the others, he is simply to be removed from the public.

Local bakery, good cappuccino, reasonably priced, friendly service, clean restaurant. Good place to have breakfast. Very good local bakery. Constantly packed. Good coffee. The counter people were very pleasant. The cashier lady didn't speak to me the first day, which is understandable considering how busy it gets there. On the second day, she'd recognized me and while giving me my change, stopped...gave me a warm smile and told me to enjoy my day :) The point is, she didn't have to do it, but she took the time, and made my day:)! I'd read some of the comments about her which is not true. I find in Italy, you have to give the people some time before they open up to show how really sweet they are. Remember, you are in a different country, a different culture. Be kind, patient and respectful, and it will come back to you ten folds. --Tourist from the U.S.A.

Excellent brioche and cappuccino, friendly and helpful staff but known to the Owner: only three people is not enough staff given the large influx of customers. The guys at the counter and the cashier worked wonders to please everyone. To Employees 10 to Owner 1

Stumbled across this one on my way back from the Testaccio market. Tried 2 delicious pastries with English Tea. Great stop, friendly staff, locals, nice place to sit and relax with a clean bathroom. What more could you want?

This is my favorite place to have a cappuccino and cornetto marmalleta in Rome. There are so many delicious pastries. It is hard to choose. I am going back in July, and this will be my first stop!!!

Delicious cakes and coffee - I had an apple puff pastry the textures and taste worked really well - not sure of full name in Italian but it’s a type of sfoglie. Delicious!

Make sure that you see your bill first before eating your cake and drink. The owner Tried to scam us. He wanted 8 euro just for us to sit down. But if We stand in the counter is was free. He give you a bill where you can NOT see each thing you pay for. He pretend he do not understand english well but trust me he does. First he tried to bill me for 18 euros for two small capoucino and 6 very small minicakes. I wanted the bill before we had Our cakes and cappicino. Because I know about turistscam in Rom. He bill me 18 euro and I ended up paying only 10 euro. Only because I confroted him. I wanted to know what each thing cost. We ended up eating at the counter because I refused to pay 8 euros just to sit Down!!

Friendly atmosphere with internal and pavement seating. Excellent choice for coffee and cornetto. Ideal for a bite to eat before exploring the Aventino.

This place serves up small tiny varieties ofexcellent quality pastries to have with coffee or tea or takeaway. A little pricey in comparison to others, but very much worth it.
