So we have been in Italy for almost a month and wanted to take a break from pasta and pizza. We were looking forward to some Chinese food (I'm Chinese from Hong Kong) and stumbled upon this place. We were there at 6 pm and there was an older couple (owner) working. We ordered the meatball w/vermicelli soup, and two... More

We had a lovely lunch accompanied by a good bottle of Italian Rose, at a reasonable price. The duck was crispy and full of flavour, the egg-fried rice fresh and fluffy. A typical Chineses restaurant, owned and staffed by Chinese immigrants. You will find a restaurant like this in most cities of the world. Service was friendly and the meal... More

Not sure what everyone is on about on here. After reading the reviews we went expecting good tasting food. It was anything but! We ordered 7 dishes so plenty of variety and it was tasteless. It was nothing like Chinese food. The noodles and rice were similar to that in a US food court- gross! And the mains were broiled... More

Came for 2 dinners and a breakfast so far, in 2 days. Good value for money, 4-5 EUR for main courses, so 2 persons can have a filling dinner for around 10-15 EUR In mornings they serve hot soya bean drink and fritters, porridge, etc

Not a bad choice for Chinese restaurant at Rome. We had a superb dinner with cheap price. The portion not very big but with the price tag, it's reasonable. Price ranged from £3- £6. Recommended!

After a long trip, we plan to find Chinese food. We didn't expect too much when we entered the restaurant because there are only two of us. However, when the noodles came, my husband was about to cry. He said it tasted totally the same as the noodles he had when he was a child. And he finished two kinds... More

This Chinese Restaurant is tucked away in a small side street not far from the main Train Station in Rome. What a little gem it is, with excellent food, with plenty in each portion ordered, and ice cold drinks to go with the food. The price is totally out of this world as well. We enjoyed 2 evening meals there... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
