We stopped here multiple times and it was always full of locals - often buying large portions to take home. Truly incredible gelato and very friendly, english-speaking staff. Giandua was my favorite (chocolate hazelnut), but also loved the double chocolate (can't remember the Italian name) and straciatella (Italian version of chocolate chip).

Been there Saturday late at night. No queue. It was one of the best I've ever tried. Cream on top, something new and delicious. Not expensive. Good location. Must.

Visited on 4/11/17 Gelato 3 stars, service with an attitude 1 star. Young lady behind the counter did not give me panna on my gelato after requesting, she just moved onto other customers. (my wife asked in Italian she is fluent, I asked in English, she could not be bothered) I have no problem with an attitude because if the... More

Located directly across from our hotel, this gelateria makes and serves the best gelato I've ever had in Italy. The prices are very reasonable and the flavor selection is extensive and changes frequently. The flavor list is not in English, but the helpful staff will help translate the flavors that aren't obvious. Small, family owned and friendly, this little place... More

Very difficult to walk past such tasty temptation, so we don't. They say the Gelateria around the corner is the best but having tried both this is hands down better.

I've tasted Gelato in Venice, Florence, Lucca, Ravena, Sorento and a few more; so far the best I've tasted has been in Caruso's on the Servio Tullio. Deep cream flavors, rich fruit and nut flavors. You won't be disappointed.

The icecream here is really tasty. I tried the amaretto, zabaione and chocolate-something, they all tasted delicious! You really have to go here for the ice since its not on a busy road. Lots of locals.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
