Well designed place, great music, a wide range of wine- all you need for a high quality wine bar. Stands along in the area.

We had pre-dinner drinks here a couple of times when in Rome. Buzzy neighbourhood. We asked the guy serving us for recommendations, and on both evenings he came up with some interesting and delicious options.

Nothing but praise. Tuna was a personal fave. The cooked meat was fabulous. Great cheese and other deli delights. Very passionate owner/chef with wife and a wonderful "select" choice of music, ranging from Martin Denny style exotica vibes, to pre war American blues, to African as well as Jamaican jazz sounds. Found this spot by a chance after having arrived... More

Found by chance but genuinly enjoyed - great food and wine selection. Staff is extremely helpful and will adivse you when in doubt. Cosy and very nice location with great atmosphere. If you look for a roman modern tavern with a sparkle of local environment, this is the place you have been looking for!

A new way in catering, "Il Sorì" in San Lorenzo, Rome, via dei Volsci 51.The "Sorì"longs to be an wine and food "bottega" where you can taste Italian and International selected wines, meet wine producers, take part in events not only in Rome but also at wineries. A refined selection of salami and cheeses produced by taste artisans and personally visited dairy farms, able to produce according traditional techniques.A long and deep travel through the Italian Peninsula discovering real and authentic aromas and tastes.Native breed cold cuts such as Suino Reale from Caserta, Sauris razza magra, Nero from Nebrodi, and more still to revalue.Cheeses of the Alps, Islands, Transalpine an Apennine: tradition skillfully matched to bio productions such as honey, marmalade and conserve. Selecting can be considered a life choice, the natural evolution of a path started more than 50 years ago out of a family passion.Following that path in this moment of particular attention paid to nutrition seems to be a due hazard towards people who, like me, don't want that the proper identity of the produces of the land happen to be lost.I hope that this identity can tell, taste after taste, the story of all the people who are working, day after day, on their inherited mission. Land represents the continuity of life flowing every day.To get in contact with it we only have to overcome the logics of large retailers so to find the trust in its single link

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
