We had the carbonara and tomato sauce pastas. The carbonara sauce was excellent, the tomato sauce was good, with hints of spice. However, the penne pasta that was served was slightly under-cooked and didn't taste home made like another pasta place we tried.

Tiny restaurant. Go early otherwise booking a must or be ready to wait. The menu is what the cook decided to prepare that meal. Limited choice but all outstanding. No desert. Wine is red or white and directly taken from the barrel. Inexpensive.

Love this trattoria and their concept. You sit and they feed you what was made that day. We had loved the vitello with white wine and peas are good, as well as the roman chicken. There is no menu and the dishes are not very large so you can have both. They will end with few cookies and a limoncello.... More

This is a hidden gem in Rome of authentic culinary experience. The place is tucked away in a side street with non-fancy decorations. The experience of friendly service and home made food was memorable. My wife and I had the stuffed zucchini and lasagna. They were beautifully prepared. The place didn't have any desserts but Ada would offer you biscuits... More

A very small little joint with very little table room and seating. So get ready to get cozy with your neighbors, in fact... talk to them and make it a double date! We did and had a great time exchanging travel stories with an Italian couple about their honeymoon to the states and vice versa. As for the food, very... More

Really and truly one of the few classical trattorie left in Rome, a tiny place where they'll seat you with strangers if that's the only way to fit everyone in, where mom cooks and pop runs the tables, writing the daily menu of a handful of items on a little pad of paper or your table. Whatever is fresh and... More

This is a small friendly restaurant serving quality home cooked Italian food. We had a lovely bowl of pasta and a nice moist stuffed chicken breast. It's not fancy or grandiose from the outside, but it is good food and very reasonably priced. I'd drop in again.

Great little place tucked away- we had oxtail stew, parmigiano, and lemon pork. Really flavoursome and lovely service. Be warned that it is very small with shared tables.

Sharing a table with another couple may not be for everyone, but we were seated at a 4 top table with a younger couple from France. Within minutes we were talking and sharing and enjoying each others company. There is no menu as the young hostess told us what the evenings servings were (she did a great job in English!)... More
