We had a couple of drinks in this establishment, mainly to take the weight off our feet after walking miles. The waiter was attentive, friendly and helpful and as we sat outside on the pavement tables, he chased away the numerous hawkers trying to sell you something. The toilet is inadequate for the numbers of people and is quite a... More

Unfortunately I was really hungry at the moment we passed by this caffe... We were placed at a table right away, had no other places to choose from. Cappuccino costs 4,50 and a cup of tea too! But worst were the paninis or in my case the hamburger.. I think the meat and lettuce have been there for many hours... More

Beautiful location. We were seated outside. Constantly aware of the tourist trap syndrome but we were hungry and decided to stop. The staff are delightful, very friendly and accommodating. No complaints there. The problem is with the food which was simply awful. Tasteless, bland, poor portions of inferior food all made this a disappointing waste of money. It's not worth sending... For British visitors, this restaurant / cafe is reminiscent of one of the new fangled "Greggs" cafe. Located on one of the busiest corners in the city, getting in can be hard as one has to cross through rivers of tourists going the other way. Once inside you have the option of take out or eat in - the place... More

We stopped here on Jan 5 2016 to sit next to the propane heater after walking about 6 miles touring Ancient Rome. The place was great for sitting and people watching and especially for having a place to warm up. We ordered an expresso, cappuccino, pizza and 2 cokes for 26 US dollars. The pizza was pizza and we liked... More

Our young waitress was lovely. The food was tasteless and not fresh - not good value for money. The other staff were very rude and our overall experience was disappointing. It's lucky they are situated in a prime location as you wouldn't plan to eat there.

The pasta is too sour and don't really taste good for the 9-10 Euro it costs. Also, the spaghetti pretty much just tasted like what I would have been able to cook on my own, which is rather disappointing. Overall, I won't go so far as some reviewers who ask you to avoid at all cost, but I have to... More

Popped in for lunch, huge tasty pizzas at a good price. Soft drinks and sides expensive but to be expected in the area. Waiter very helpful with perfect English, contrary to other reviews, but lady at the counter didn't acknowledge us at all on transaction. Okay place in a great location.

I can accept that in piazza Venezia a bar can be expansive, but I expect it to be elegant, I expect that the cups are in porcelain, the waiter attentive and proactive. I expect to be able to pay at the table without being forced to cue again at the cashier. Nothing worse than this in Rome!

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
