The atmosphere is fantastic. The restaurant will offer you some free "dégustations". You would be pleased with the hospitality. The food is the authentic Italien and very delicious. Especially the tiramisu, it looks like a table magic. Wonderful!

This typical Roman/Napolitanean restaurant serves some good food. And filling too. But I was blown away (again) by their desert, sabayon with 10 different biscuits. The only problem is to stop eating. Definitely worth going. I'll be back!!

My husband saw this restaurant on tripadvisor and decided to book a table for our anniversary meal. Good job he did - it was booked solid. We were given a lovely table in the window, and when the waiter realised we were English, called one of his colleagues over to translate the menu for us. He spoke perfect English and... More

Found this place in a side street near the river as we were walking from the Vatican towards the Spanish steps. Quiet location with helpful staff (English spoken) and an interesting menu. It would have been easy to take a VERY long good lunch here. Greeted with a glass of prosecco and served attentively but not pressured throughout. Food was... More

Just around the corner from our hotel, Sant Angelo, we have found this nice restaurant. The main part of the quest seems to be locals and the atmosphere is rather stylish. Your are greated in a very polite, but still friendly way. And the kitchen is superb. But we must admit that our main reason for returning whenever we are... More

I was over in Rome for business and I was staying at Visconti hotel, colleagues suggested me Trattoria della Barchetta and I have to say it's worth it. Food was delicious, I had some antipasti and the typical 'cacio e pepe' as main. Service was very good, the place warm and welcoming and the complementary prosecco, fried vegetables and biscuits... Upscale dinner spot that was the highlight of the trip. Impeccable service, dinner was fantastic and dessert "tasting" menu was so much food and amazingly delicious. Would highly recommend. I plan on returning!

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
