We had an excellent lunch there. La carbonara the best ever, cacip e pepe, polpette al sugo exquisite, everything so homemade and delicious. The tiramisu at the end yummy! Vitto, the owner such a character with real and warm hospitality. Highly recomended

Me, my mum and my dad visited Rome this July (10th - 15th). We stayed in Trastevere, and on our 2nd night we visited Otello's, where I had the Tagliata di Manzo Rucola. (which I have attached an image of below) On our 3rd and 4th (final night) we ate in Otello's again, where I had the same meal, 3... More

My husband and I visited da Otello in November. Approaching the restaurant it looked closed as the outside dining area is the first thing you see and it looked "deserted", obviously closed down after the summer months. However, as soon as we walked into the side entrance we were met with a warm cozy home atmosphere which perfectly represented the... More

The pizza was delicious. Crust is melting in your mouth. We also liked house wine. Special thanks to Liliana and Erica. We'll come back.

It's a super experience to eat here even though it's my 8th time to Italy and I have tried some expensive restaurant. The food is traditional. With the good atmosphere and lovely people there, I really feel lucky to be there. I will definitely visit there again:-)

Fabuloso! Our favorite dinner in Rome. GREAT food, glowing atmosphere with lovely retro 60's music that fits the Fellini film fun/hip vibe. Perhaps best of all were the FRIENDLY servers, who actually seemed to enjoy working at this place (a rarity in Rome). Special shout-out to the fabulous Fabrizio, who is a true delight (and a great singer - just... More

We had a pizza and wine here and weren't dissappointed. The design and the music in the background makes the visitors feel the italian spirit. The service was fast, Fabio was very kind and funny. Would recommend this place for all.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
