My son and I were staying at a hotel in Trastevere down the street and are so happy that we stopped in. Linda was a very friendly waitress who helped us with ordering and taught us some Italian words/expressions. Elio was attentive and made sure that we had what we needed. The rice balls and pizzas were great. Linda brought... More

A fun little pizzera located in the cobbled streets of Trastevere, near to Ponti Sisto walking bridge. The staff are young and friendly, especially when it comes to selfie half hour when the staff take selfies with all the patron. Great wine, great selection on the menu, and tasty food.

We were walking at Trastevere and saw this place crowded with people, so we decided to get inside. The food was great, we ordered pasta with meatballs, it was delicious. Wine and etc is also good, but the staff was the best of it all. Kindly, friendly and joking all the time, we felt like we're their friends. :) Special... More

The restaurant is cute. Try not to sit downstairs as you receive less attention and it's not as atmospheric. We were served the wrong food. Apart from that, the dishes are okay.

We found this wonderful restaurant while walking around the Trastevere area. The food and wine was excellent and the prices very good. Many thanks to Liliana, our waitress for her service! She made us feel like home! We'll eat here again on our next trip to Rome.

Try this if you want to eat something different from the usual lasagne-like for tourists, a good choice for a Roman citizen like me too. Don't miss

Don't be discouraged by the queue at the door. And dont go if you want a quiet dinner in a plastic looking restaurant like seen many in Rome. We went twice in and with 20 people waiting we got in aftrr 10-15 minutes. Enjoy the glass of wine offered and the biscuits while you wait. Once in, the restaurant is... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
