This is a small, hole-in-the-wall, "fast-food style" Kosher restaurant located in the midst of the "Jewish Quarter" of Rome near the big Synagogue. Many folks, especially Jews, go to Yesh Shani because of the neighborhood's reputation for unique cuisine and that the food there is...More

My wife and I were in search of Kosher Shawarma in the Ghetto. We passed Yesh Sheni, but the aroma drew us back. What we found inside was warm, friendly people, and great food. The Shawarma Laffa, more than enough for a hungry person. There...More

Quick yes, tasty pasta but very greasy vegetables. The atmosphere is nothing and the prices are not cheaper than any where else in the Ghetto

Food was OK but not great. The service could be improved. The menu looks bigger than it is. I am not sure hoow fresh the vegetables were but I had no bad reactions so I guess it was ok in that regard.

For light meals and snacks in the Jewish Quarter, this is the place to visit. Quick service, many options. Only a few tables. Has take away options. Has excellent fried artichokes, a specialty of the Jewish Quarter.

Good fast food. Sharma pitas are excellent. So is their spaghetti. They really ought to let paying customers use the bathroom. And, they would not take a credit card, nor did they have change for a child who just wanted to buy a can of...More

The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its
reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly
300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish
community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the
tiny area still retains its mix of tradition,
community, and history. Ancient and medieval
architectural design frames apartments, bakeries,
shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the
