I have visited a number of times over the years this gives the taste of classic Rome, the service and quality of menu is excellent and the cocktails compelling. Not cheap but if that's what you are looking for then this is not for you.

Great piano bar loaded up with characters! The pianist is good and the female singer should have a torch!

We stayed down the street at Hotel Splendide Royal and walked up to the corner for dinner here one night. We were able to sit outside even on a cool evening because the heaters mounted in the ceiling. The food was very good and the menu had something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this spot for drinks or for... More

My husband and I went there on our date night. We were seated outside and it was a little chilly but the heaters were on. I ordered oysters that tasted fresh from the sea. My husband loved his gazpacho soup. We also ordered châteaubriand with béarnaise sauce which was cooked perfectly. My dessert was also spot on! I liked that... More

Harry's Bar is one of the most memorable moments I've had since visiting Roma. If you want a great night out with family or friends, go here, you'll love it. The staff, drinks, atmosphere and live entertainment has been the best I've seen and they deserve 5 stars and more. Thank you to everyone at Harry's for an amazing experience.

In Rome during October. With family, we went for an afternoon treat to Harry's Bar. At seating area outside, we ordered a Dessert which was well presented and tasted lovely. The atmosphere is good, staff are friendly and polite. Prices are expensive, but this is a quality place.

Friends that live in Rome suggested this place as one of the best in Rome. Unfortunately, nothing close to being the best. Food is average, people around behave as if they are high society...not relaxing atmosphere. Yeah Bellini is good - so may be place is good for girls after shopping...

We ate inside at this restaurant and the decor makes you feel like you're stepping back into 1950's glitz and glamour. The service was excellent but the food was, in our view, average.

The place has stayed open longer than other spots in the area. Great service, good drinks and tasty food (lamb chops were overcooked, so we had to return them twice - but third time's a charm), wonderful live music, fun crowd

Description
In order to write the story of this cafe we should get to meet every person who has gone to it, or most of them. Certainly each one of them would have a bit of story kept in the casket of their memories. Memories of unforgettable moment, but above all of a bit of history which has helped our Country to be born again. It was the Sixties and our bar proudly represented the meeting place of the " By nigth " Rome, of the " Dolce vita " (Sweet life), the place where riotous loves were born, where never revealed agreements were signed, were everything was familiar ... This was Harry's Bar. In the hearts of the ones who patronenized it, it never died, despite the hard times. Harry's Bar Rome was born in 1959, took its name only in 1962 but the cafe existed since 1918. It was the Golden Gate Confectioner's, quoted in many books. At the end of the Twenties it became part of the De Gasperis' family until 1958, the very year it cake to be American Bar Restaurant. Today the cafe shines in its Boisseirie, and in its plasters, more then 35 years old, of late renovated, the same feel you got in those years. He who doesn't know Harry's Bar Rome, has now good reason to go and see it. Legendary Harry's Bar is the unique place that evokes tbc "Dolce Vita' as if it were a clip from the film, creating a vivid flashback to the golden era of the Via Veneto, when Frank Sinatra sang at the piano and all the stars made their appearance in this bar/restaurant full of glamour and style. As in the roaring sixties, you can still sip an aperitif, enjoy the live piano bar every evening and dive into tbc magic of the Via Veneto from the exclusive and fascinating Harry's Bar. The refined cuisine recalls the freshness of Mediterranean flavours based on prime ingredients. Tradition and fantasy inspire the elegant dishes of the menu, accompanied by the most prestigious labels and a high class service.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
