A wonderful dinner with all what you should expect from the top trattoria in Rome. The food is amazing, service is fun and has a family environment that is truly charming. Great place!

Recommended by my local Italian friends and definitely worth the trip here to have a traditional dinner. Lovely atmosphere and staff. It's in a location high in tourist foot traffic but in a smaller alley. Not full of tourists and instead you will find yourself surrounded by locals and regulars who want a nice night out. Worth the price!

Careful this place is quite expensive. We did enjoy it though, very "old Italian feel", it doesn't seem like they enjoy having tourists come to their restaurant though. The service was mildly pleasant. The tomato mozzarella was incredible though. Worth a visit.

We visited Al Moro a week ago, as I had read so many good reviews about it being a rustic, authentic Italian restaurant and all. Well, I normally don't write critiques as soon as I get back from my trips but this time I felt that I had to. This place is insane and it's probably the best example I... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We had asked for a rustic Italian restaurant and we definitely found it. Located around the corner from the Trevi foundation. When we first walked in we were a little worried, as it looked like just locals dining but the friendly staff seated us. As the menu was all in Italian we... More

Every time we visit Rome, we come to Al Moro for the best food and great service. Spaghetti Al Moro is the best carbonara you can get, all other dishes that we tried were excellent. There are some negative reviews but all of them complain about prices, not quality of food. You get what you pay for. It is not... More

Just steps from Trevi... and off the beaten path. There are lots of tourist traps around significant sites in Rome but Al Moro is definitely not. This is a classic Roman spot with awesome food and an extensive wine list. We had Spaghetti Al Moro (among other dishes), which is basically Carbonara and is delicious. Everything we had there was... At Al Moro you pay for the early 20th Century atmosphere (and waiters) and possible sighting of celebrities as much as you pay for the food. We had wonderful tagliatelli, very fresh artichokes and sumptuous profiteroles. Then the house wine was non-descript although they had a fine collection of better wines at inflated prices. We ate just as well the... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
