Signore Boni was an amiable host, suggesting specials not on the menu and seeing to our every need. Our reservation was promptly fulfilled and we were allowed to choose our table. The wine and food exceeded our previous visit. The fried, stuffed zucchini flowers were...More

I have eaten at Piperno over the past 10 years and have sent countless others to enjoy the fried artichoke and vegetables. During our family vacation to Rome I decided to splurge and take the entire family to enjoy a great meal. We ordered one...More

Home made potatoe gnocchi & veal ravoli for entrees were to die for. For mains the crumbed veal & oxtail stew fell off the bone. All this complimented by extensive wine list, made for a delightful lunch. Highly recommend the coda alla vaccinara & booking,...More

This is a storied restaurant, which I have loved in the past. It felt, this time, as if it were sliding some on its reputation. The food was OK but not special.

We stopped at Piperno for lunch based on the high recommendations of their fried artichokes by our travel agent. Based on their description, I was literally expecting a hole in the wall storefront, but found a white linen, sit-down restaurant. It is located in the...More

Seasoned upper middle class retiree travlers look for places where English is not spoken. Celebrated my 71st birthday here with the best food of a two week sojourn over the Xmas holidays. What I appreciated was the polite way that most tourists were turned away....More

Service was sub-standard even for Rome. Caters to more of a blue-haired crowd. Would not recommend.

Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood
museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the
streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa

Rome restaurants usually close one day a week, and that day is at their discretion. Piperno is closed on Mondays.

Hi Barb S. As other Trip Advisors have suggested, its a fair distance/walk from St. Peters and i would personally take a taxi. Re the language...we had absolutely no trouble in conversing with our waiter.
